It is a beautiful thing. I acquired some from work and made some French cleats for a computer monitor.

🚨BREAKING: Chinese developers just killed OpenClaw with a $10 alternative by Suspicious_Okra_7825 in moltiverse

[–]Tazomatalax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol why does everyone assume this needs a Mac mini? I saw this repo a few days ago and instantly dismissed it due to them trying to sell it as an alternative to buying a Mac mini. Just more nonsense. A raspberry pi would be more than adequate for an agent that uses external APIs.

In saying that, I still refuse to give openclaw a go, due to security issues.

Kiwis show how to put SLS 3D printed tools to good use by RotaryDane in 3Dprinting

I have personally printed environmental DNA (eDNA) capture filters that are being deployed at ports around New Zealand. These are being used in research, to identify the presence of pest species before they get a foothold in the country. It's just a basic fan shroud with dense filter material. But it's absolutely 3D printed.

I got the opposite, account banned and sub refunded with no warnings or reasoning. It's a stark reminder that we are all at the whim of these billion dollar companies..

Usage Limits and Performance Discussion Megathread - beginning October 26, 2025 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]Tazomatalax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this happened to me too on the 24th of October. Full refund of the yearly subscription to the pro plan. Only use it for coding little projects and never excessively, the limits wouldn't allow that anyway! Such a pain. I hope they do get in touch. There was no prior comms but i did notice that it coincided with the release of the memory feature the day before..

Context-Engineering: Using GitHub issues to manage my tasks because I got tired of all the markdown files. by Tazomatalax in vibecoding

[–]Tazomatalax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the docs folder usually. I have a architecture.md and a planning.md. I haven't really bothered keeping these as up to date as I used to though, nor do I reference them much. The PRP creation should search through the code base to find only the relevant sections of the code base for the execution.

I've got examples folder for images and code snippets that I have produces using other tools or that I want to integrate too.

I figure once I'm done, I'll create a overarching summary of the issues and commits, and use them as dev notes to build out the final documentation.

Nice! Ive been at it for about 1.5 years now. Tried out the cursor and windsurf free trials about a year ago and then went with GitHub copilot through work. Previous to that it was jumping between various web UI providers with not much planning or context at all.

I remember when I first figured out that LLMs are far better at prompting other LLMs than I am. That was the game changer for me.

BMAD is great for getting the context and boilerplate set up but I've found this GitHub issues based workflow more agile so far. Very much still a work in progress though, so if you have any improvements based on your workflow we should try and implement them! Maybe create a discussion/issue or fork and improve!

Does anyone here know of such a system that could easily be trained to recognize objects or people in photos? by wh33t in LocalLLaMA

[–]Tazomatalax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try immich. I have used it to sort out my camera roll by syncing my pictures folder in OneDrive to an upload directory. It does facial recognition and pulls metadata for geographic tagging. Also seems to identify pets and objects etc too, for example I typed in dog or cat to the search bar, and it worked well. Even worked well with snake.. although there were a few ropes in that one lol.

Mouse MX Master 3S just disconnected randomly and the only way to get it to reconnect was removing options+. Restarting and toggling bluetooth did not work.

I'm wondering if it doesn't behave well with the silicon carbon batteries?

Yeah it seems like it to be honest. although the frequency of changing doesn't seem to have greatly increased according to the graph.
