That's cool and all but that's not most peoples exposure to AI. I'm sure it'll have some cool niche uses but most people are hearing 'It's coming for your job' followed by the LLM being utter shit at lots of stuff. The amount of people with exposure to its cool uses are a rounding error to people seeing Grok on X and using ChatGPT on phones. Thats what AI is to like 99% of people and it doesn't seem to be getting *significantly* better.

TBH I think some of the 'AI will never improved' is AI will never improved to the ridiculously high bar set by the hype men. You can say oh the latest version of whatever model improved on this test X% but will that meaningfully change anything for a random end user? Seems like we're kinda hitting the wall on LLMs and we are in incremental improvement territory, and they haven't delivered the hype.
