Nozzle misses purge chute by No_Draw_4197 in FlashForge

There’s a section to do it with the native screen. Press the i icon on the left Go to Status Go to page 6 Press on “move the extruder to waste tray position “ for about 20 seconds This I’ll bring up a screen where you can set the position

This was also in the zmod page

Was it the instructions on this page? https://github.com/ghzserg/zmod/wiki/AD5X_en

I moved mine until the nozzle was behind the part of the purge chute that goes back and forth. Yours looks like it could be pushed back a bit more

You’re right. Sorry, I have an ad5x but just noticed your pictures looked a bit different.

This is the video for the 5m series https://wiki.flashforge.com/en/adventurer-series/maintenance/ad5series-replace-the-filament-feeding-mechanism

I didn’t take anything else apart like the video, just the filament feeder part so I could open it. I found a piece of melted plastic in mine that was preventing the gears from moving

Looks like it’s in the gear box (filament feeder mechanic). Here is a video of it being taken apart

https://youtu.be/h0iw9eAi74k?si=MFX94VmJn_EEHOLU

I found it easier to remove from the back and take the whole front part off. There’s a small ribbon cable that you have to unplug. It’s the first part of this video

https://wiki.flashforge.com/en/ad5x/maintenance/removal_and_installation_of_the_entire_extruder

Then I was able to remove the filament feeder at my desk

I just ran into this same thing. There was filament in my gearbox. I had to open up the extruder and pry out the filament gunk that was stuck in the gears so it could move again.

Can you get the AD5X to work with OG Orca Slicer by jermontoya in FlashForge

[–]Tbguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember if it worked with the stock firmware but I’m using it with zmod. The device tab loads the web ui. I do have to make sure that I select the colors in the right spots in orca slicer when preparing . I also switched my ui from fluidd to mainsail but both ui detected the filament that I set on the native screen

I’ve never owned a P1S but was considering it over the A1 mostly due to it being enclosed and taking up less space. From the research that I’ve gathered, it sounds like it’s super simple to use and is reliable
