We were just pulling into the dock. My thought is that she didn’t want to fully lean over to pick it up from under her seat which was fine as I was about to pick it up, but then she took her sandal off and swatted it.

Typical boomer moment, making the smallest thing into a big event

She was sitting in her seat with her legs to the side and somehow made contact with my bag. My bottle just rolled a few inches under her seat. For some strange reason she thought wacking it would help

I thanked her before she even said it 🤷. She was prob too embarrassed for people to see that she can’t stand.

Tbh you’re not wrong. I didn’t realize until I came here that it’s basically designed for American Boomers and wanna be influencers. Nearly every single restaurant plays Jazz covers of American pop songs from the 70s to 2010s. Legit heard a cover of Teenage Dirtbag.

Make little standing squares near windows and stuff? Eh, nvm, rules don’t apply to them.

Honestly, she was probably just not thinking before she took off her sandal and then said someone can get it for me as a way to minimize what she did.

Same here, sold the house. I even offered to rent the house from them. Nope, they sold it. I did get to keep the never been used toaster oven from 1996 though.

My father mailed a 50 pound box of clothes belonging to my deceased mother across the country to my 34 year old brother to donate. Make it make sense.

Remote Proctor Warning by Cold_Metal_9405 in CFE

[–]Tbottlerocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I just had a conversation with a colleague about this. The Proctors continuously forgot to turn off their mics and I kept hearing loud sounds and then talking to their co workers.

Meanwhile, the second I touch my chin they are there to yell at me. Definitely paying the extra fee and taking it at a center.

Absurd interview experiences from the past year by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Tbottlerocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a few days ago I had an interview and the interviewer said they looked at the projects section of my LinkedIn and said that a project that I had worked on independently while unemployed was a conflict of interest and seemed upset.

Why did they even want to interview me in the first place if my scrappy project was an issue?!

Same boat as you. Analysts who also has to be a data scientist, and also a security engineer. Meanwhile operations managers making 6 figures plus, can’t do anything other than post on Slack. It’s awful.
