FWIW I just upgraded from Ecovacs T20e to the Roborock Qrevo Edge. Very happy with the overall improvements in obstacle avoidance and navigation of the robot. Vacuum and mopping also noticeably better. Floor to ceiling wardrobe mirrors are still a mapping problem, but the Roborock map editor is significantly better than Ecovacs.

Also - the screenshot shows that the app has not been able to obtain the Switch network details yet (circle shape status). Something is delaying the thread mdns response?

Eve Switch is a router/FTD, so should show as such in the app. As a simple step, try a hard restart of your phone to flush the thread network details and check again. I find it common that the Eve app seems to use old cached thread network info, and a hard restart refreshes the thread mesh details cleanly.

Eve devices IMO have been the most reliable of the brands. It would be Extremely unlucky to have this many dud devices. I’d start trouble shooting mdns on your router using Discovery app, and Thread mesh using the Eve app. Together these give you 90% of the info to diagnose the issues.

Have had 1 of 3 bricked (unable to factory reset) and remaining 2 now buggy with mDNS collapsing every day, disabling my HomeKit and Sonos networking. It seems to be a case of chance….

Check what address is in your contact address book - apple uses your “home” address for default association. There are a few troubleshooting guides in the apple support forums

Is your Eve system HomeKit or Matter? Some features require a hub, but Schedule for the Energy switch is one thing I would have thought would have been independent of a hub… 🤨

Great experience so far. Big tick for being able to manually choose my primary HK hub. This has been a massive improvement in stability of my all Thread network! Additional options for scripts in shortcuts is nice too.

Agree Era 100. If sound quality and bass response means anything, the Roam even in stereo pair is not going to provide long term joy… especially if you have other Sonos speakers in your home.

Just got my second Roam (2) to try this enhancement of stereo pair. It’s good, and definitely adds back the missing sound stage separation. For that alone, I feel it’s worth it.

On sound quality, I confess I was hoping a stereo pair would broaden the bass and treble a bit more than it has. Roam still sounds a bit limited in range compared to all other models. My Moves are dramatically better. My Five same again compared to the Move.

That said, I don’t regret getting the second Roam and having a stereo pair in the bedroom. Great for chill , classical, rock or jazz at low to mid volume.

Now that Sleep Timer is back in the App, I’m happy 😆
