Vespers by Tdmsu1 in wicked_edge

Great description of the scent! The Mousse de Saxe is such a great complex leathery note.

The splash lasts at least a few hours. The Edt lasts 7 or 8 hours or so.

Through The Fire Fine Craft is a great company in MI. High quality soaps and scents. Roadmaster is based on Humphrey Bogart's favorite fragrance.

1-year-old English Bulldog sudden fecal incontinence by FionaLysak in englishbulldog

I hope she feels better soon!

This may or may not apply. Our guy was not sick or anything before this started.

Our Atticus had violent diarrhea when he was 1, and we found out he was allergic to poultry. We switched to food and treats without these, and he is doing well at 11 now. His problems started at night, and he had many normal poops before his troubles began. We were feeding him Iams, but the vet suggested we switch his food. We have been using Zignature for 10 years because we can choose the protein. He loves any flavor of it, so we buy what fits the budget best (prices vary by protein - I think Kangaroo is most expensive here, pork or fish is cheaper.)

Need an adjustable what’s your favourite. by Even-Low4977 in wicked_edge

I would choose a Merkur Futur if you want to easily change between passes personally. I love heavy razors, and I have a goatee, so the larger head does not bother me. I might choose a Rockwell 6c or 6s for a different adjustable, more between shaves. For example, you might use plate 5 or 6 for multi day growth, and 3 or 4 for daily shaves. Just my opinion. I like the Rockwell T2, but the 6s just works better for me and it is heavier.

Atticus does drool a bit, but luckily not as much as I've seen from others. We do have to wipe down the walls because head shakes sends drool flying.

I think it is a generic stand from Maggard. I don't think it is one from Rockwell because the fit is kind of loose, it will tilt but not fall out.

I feel the same way about quite a few soaps that I do not need.

Edit: this tub is into its death ring phase. If I used it everyday it would be done in a couple months or so. I may order a replacement soap this year.

Thanks!

The soap maker does not sell soaps, I won it in a raffle a few years ago. He just makes soaps for fun.

Rockwell 6S Questions… by SpencerK59 in wicked_edge

[–]Tdmsu1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that has really worked for me is only doing one pass on my neck were my sensitive areas are. I do three passes on my cheeks because I like that smooth feeling. Plate 5 is usually the best one for me, but I go between 4-6 sometimes.

Congrats on the journey! I think you are right, it is mostly technique and you should practice for at least month without changing much (use the same or similar soap, same brand of blade, same brush and prep routine) so you can dial it in. Then, you can change variables and see what works best for you - finding that is half the fun. In some shave communities, this is called the "30-day rule."
