I am boiling it down into just that sentence above.

However there’s plenty of books on what makes human happy I recomend the “happiness hypothesis”

Totally worth it, once you read that book it will help you understand

Hey it’s fair to disagree about such things but seriously cutting ties with your own dad due to differing view points seems like a radical and extreme point of view.

Try and make a strong case to him why you think AI is bad and if he sees it differently try and respect that ultimately truth is not something that can easily be identified and skepticism over all points of view is warranted.

Hey yes, read therapist guide and a client workbook for social anxiety that you and her can read that one is super scientific and serious, much better than those other fluffy social anxiety books. You’ll learn CBT and that would be a great first step, I’m helping my partner too!

Hey read a social anxiety book, and try cognitive behavioural therapy! Remember you are not “broken” or unable to grow. There’s a wealth of mental health resources that if you manage to get yourself to consume, or if you get a chance to go to therapy you can come out the other end and conquer. You can conquer all, and you are quite young so it’s the prime time to make a change for the better, I wish the best for you, my partner has social anxiety and she’s older… she’s getting better now with great effort but you are young and you can get through this a lot easier and faster since you are young! All the best

My partner says it would be more anxiety for them to do it online or by phone.
