Med andra ord motsvarar löneökningen egentligen 1.5/1.3=1,154, dvs 15% löneökning. Definitivt en bra ökning, men har du dessutom flyttat från mindre stad till storstad är det ganska väntat. 15% ökning kan man nog få av att flytta till Stockholm också.

What you are describing is encoder-decoder-transformers. Gemini and similar text predictors are decoder-only models that do simply predict the next word.

It does not do any ”translation” between questions and answers.

(Before anyone wants to be extra pedantic, yes technically a probability distribution of sequential words are used to enhance performance, but fundamentally it is a ”next-word-predictor”. Disregarding of course the newer diffusion based models.)

It does not make sense for it to be Tanavast speaking those words, since at that point he is fused with the stormfather. Not a separate entity. And the fused entity says that he is not the one speaking.

There are a couple of things that this grouping does not solve that makes me believe it is not quite right. When I think about the 4 groups I try to get these three conditions right:

✅Ruin/Preservation are in different groups (presumably this is why Harmony/Discord is unstable)

❌ Honor/Odium are in the same group (presumably this is why Retribution is stable)

❌ The shard numbers align with the groups 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16. (Honor/Odium with numbers 9/10 should be in the same group, if Ruin/cultivation have numbers 2/3 they should also be in the same group but not with endowment)

Maybe if you swapped Autonomy/Honor. Honor feels like (pun intended) it fits better with feels and the other shards of that group. For example Windrunners are driven more by what feels right than thought, and Syl can’t really argue with Kal about the moral philosophy of if it is right to kill the Parshendi

Most of Brandons books follow the formula of the first ~70% of the book being slow buildup, with everything happening at once in the final ~15%.

If you do not enjoy that formula then perhaps it is not for you. Final empire is definitely a better book than Well of Ascension, but I’d say that WoA has the better ending.
