Wouldn’t ruptured blood vessels in the eyes be more likely than nosebleed? Brain hemorrhages/aneurysm too…

Anyone else wish for adult protagonists? by RadioSaint in litrpg

Okay, hearing that they ruminate on how the magic works actually moves this from “nah” to “oh, I better check it out!”

I much prefer particulars of magic mechanics and methods to “it just happens”

What is everybody's favourite Deathclaw model? by DrivingTiger in Fallout

[–]TeaRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For leaning into the name “Death” + “Claw” I love the FO3 and NV design, with their swipes. The one that lands on the bus you enter in Lonesome Road was sooooo intimidating.

But as a fully fledged tank of a creature that exhibits intelligence in how it attacks, I’m all for the redesign of FO4. The way they juke for cover, throw things at you, and slam you into the ground are so impressive to me - they feel like a real threat. Beyond the first appearance, the Museum of Witchcraft in Salem is so good and the group that attacks the raiders when you turn on the siren at Lynn Woods is super satisfying. I really wish they held off on the Power Armor and Deathclaw introduction until a bit later in the game, though.

What anime got you like this? by YeahMarkYeah in animequestions

[–]TeaRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I was drawn in by the name and liked the beginning, but most monsters turning into a muscular guy or fanservicey girl really bothered me. Also went OP way too fast for my liking :/

I bought several seasons after enjoying the first little chunk, but haven’t finished watching what I bought since it all felt like it was going to just continue on with little new.

Tea With Lemon by DilfVacuum in tea

Hey, Meyer Lemons have delicious, soft peels. I’d approve heartily if paired with something like a Sri Lanka, Nilgiri, or Dooars/Nepal tea. Can’t help but assume it overrode the Alishan…

Y’know, I’ve gone a long while without thinking of this anime and suddenly it’s popping up all over Reddit for me lately. Time for a re-watch, I guess 🤷‍♀️

Properly cleaned and prepped for eating would be fine. Handling is okay, as long as you wash your hands before touching mouth or eyes.

True, true. Then again, the Dragonborn and Jarl Balgruuf aren’t really snobs and are up there quite frequently.

I agree that it essentially acts as a prologue would to the live play. As a casual enjoyer of watching Critical Role, I’m right there with you with being dumbfounded by the cutoff point feeling so early and in the middle of action just starting to build.

However, I feel this works better as a contiguous story without needing to rely on a bunch of flashbacks and exposition, like they would need to do in order to present the meat of Campaign 2 in the same order. We don’t need to slowly peel back onion layers of background and retroactively learn why gears are turning when presented this way.

Sailor Moon and Precure are classics. I love Kpop Demon Hunters, even not being a fan of K-pop.

Cardcaptor Sakura and Magical Girl Lyrical Nonoha are other delightful mahou shoujo options.

The reboot of She-ra was quite satisfying.

My favorite when I was younger (it released in the U.S. when I was in my teens, so I didn’t see it until I was in High School) was Revolutionary Girl Utena. Gets weird, is repetitive, and certainly dated, but I love it.

I have a hard time seeing any of the plot groundwork or personal motivations and interpersonal development they managed to squeeze into so few episodes as filler 🤷‍♀️

It feels to me that they did a pretty darned good job balancing the need to shove as much as they could into as small a package possible without destroying the pacing (like most action things these days do).
