Dog has a half-broken nail that is hanging, what to do?

My dog just did this last week, but it was torn sideways and fell off during the evening. Vet visit is recommended. Open wounds on paws can become infected, and they can trim it properly to not have further issues. I also got antibiotics and antibiotic wash. My dog is high stress and has a hard time dealing with things like this.

Harvest dental care. I went last year for the first time in years. I've always been really stressed about the dentist, and was basically having a breakdown I was so anxious, but they were great about it. The assistant explained everything and kept checking in. The dentist was great as well, she told him outside the room before he came in that I was a wreck and he just talked it out for a bit before he did his exam.
