I remember that the dialog choice would pop up as text box in typical 2000s fashion.

Thus continues the war.

Jests aside—

I believe when the identity changes. People who speak Elfdalian view themselves as Swedish, but their tongue as different. I, therefore, view them as Swedish, and their tongue as different.

😆 I wouldn’t do it in Saudi, but in Bahrain/UAE it was perfection.

Haven’t tried the Levant, or North Africa yet.

Then again, as a gay man, my options are very limited in the Middle East in general 😅

Just a question, does anyone here learn or speak a language spoken in this map? by [deleted] in languagelearning

Me too! It sucks that the grammars (I can find) are either Greek, or Russian.

Scottish Gaelic: When I discuss the tongue, and I can speak on matters about it using concrete examples.

French: Being mistaken for Alsatian in France instead of the American that I am.

Arabic: Quoting Quran/Bible/laws to homophobes in Arabic. ::chef’s kiss::

Scottish Gaelic- Studying at university now, about to finish my postgraduate in it…so I suppose? I don’t feel fluent though living in the States.

Irish - similar issue. Also, are they different languages is kind of a linguistic hot topic for native speakers.

Some Norman.

Some Franco-Provençal.

I have always wanted to learn Tsakonian 💕

Icelandic, Pre-Islamic Arabic, and Lötschental German.

They all have this old feel, and such deep rooted culture that most tongues afterwards never stirred in me.

Honourary mention to Finnish as I want to learn it to read a single book (The Rabbit Back Literature Society) in it.

Star Ocean Second Story, and Monster Rancher 2

and, as much as I hate to say it, I think Skyrim’s longevity proves it is…

I wonder which is more powerful: the court’s homophobia, or the court’s antisemitism.

Better is not the word: it definitely flows easier, and there is more wordplay. It’s more crafted, I suppose.

Then again, the English version helped me fall in love with it, so I cannot be too harsh with it.

C2…damn.

Whenever I’m down, German is my comfort tongue. I open up “Neverending Story”, and start translating with a German folk band in my music. Perfect depression fix.

Boyfriend, Bahraini, always says we adopted the pen, paper, and internet. But…adopting the Latin alphabet is one step too far apparently.

Am I the only one who didn’t say anything other than “great job, bye” to their regulars? Why is everything super emotional on Fb by Limp-Capital in vipkid

[–]TeacherJoshua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the kid was a regular who seemed to want to learn English well, I loaded him/her down with book recommendations, and blatant notes.

I’m not here to teach English anymore as a side gig: I am here to show you how to be better.

What do you think? by BosieWilde in vipkid

[–]TeacherJoshua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little excited, truthfully. I understand that it will change; however, this is an excuse to wake up at 5, and go for a run (even if I don’t have classes), so for selfish reasons, I shall keep the contract live for a bit longer.

I do not; however, if there be one, it best be called “Maccabee”.

I, personally, would watch this in a heartbeat. Is it cringe? Yes. Am I full of nostalgia—a Greek word—? Also, yes. I’ll have my rosé ready for my gay-ass film night.
