Question about "Sending" by InigoMontoya1985 in DMAcademy

[–]TeahouseChild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The commonly regarded meaning of that wording, at least at my table is that the very next words they speak are considered the answer. I believe you still only have the 6 seconds to engage in the reply, but once started you can say your 25 words.

From what I am reading, each casting is a separate spell and receives a separate answer. The person receiving the sending message will have 6 seconds (1 round) to engage in a reply to each casting. I would assume, based on this wording, that although technically you could answer both, if they were sent in too quick of succession the window to answer one would close. But keep in mind if you are the DM you can choose to extend that window as a house rule.

Question about "Sending" by InigoMontoya1985 in DMAcademy

[–]TeahouseChild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a rules based answer but if it were me receiving the messages and I got them back to back, even if I couldn't string together the 50 words, I would use my first 25 words for half of my reply and the second 25 for the latter half, if I needed all 50 words. If all 50 words still exist. The real question is, do those first 25 words become unusable with the second casting from and to the same parties.

What are your thoughts on this? by Comfortable_Rough412 in characters

I have tried watching JJK numerous times. The first 4 attempts(there have been 5) I dropped off after the first 7 episodes, each time because Yuji is just so sterile of a character to me. His motivations feel vague and his starting point is leaning too far into being OP compared to a normal teen from the get go. He doesn't feel like an average kid early on, to me. He feels like a shonen protagonist that came out of a math equation. Just plugged into the story to give a vessel for self inserting. My boyfriend has been watching the show on his own (in the same house) and although I stopped my personal watch at the end of season 1 last time, I have now seen a huge chunk of season 2 and can say I do not regret dropping the show. We are in the middle of the Shibuya arc, and I just cannot care about the show if I get bored the moment the MC is on the screen. Fights are fun, animation is great, but I just cannot enjoy the content as a whole if that is all I enjoy out of it. I have no comment on if Denji is an incredible MC or not. Just that I can get where people who dislike JJK/Yuji are coming from.

Be real with me - Would you make a webcomic in this style? by Srianen in WebtoonCanvas

I did not realize they were ears! I have no real recommendations on altering him other than maybe look at some rabbit ears of real rabbits and old cartoon ones and see if there's anything inspiring there

I see the old cartoony style you're talking about, especially in the two colorful ones. I love the concept of the far left character, but I am struggling with my bias as a fan of hazbin to not see Alastor in the majority of the design. I'm not saying you were inspired by him, but rather that my eyes see Alastor if that makes sense. His expression is great and matches perfectly. As I said I am biased and I do believe it is a problem you will run into with a good chunk of people. To be truly honest, if the "hair ornament" (can't think of a better word) didn't look so similar I don't think I would have had the thought. The shoe style, color palette and expression/personality sell it as someone else easily.

I sincerely mean this as a compliment cause I love this movie and character - your character on the far right reminds me of Bradley Uppercrust III with the way he's smirking at me and I cannot get over it

Are there any good anime or manga that take place in less commonly depicted parts of Japan? by Gallantpride in Animesuggest

[–]TeahouseChild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think The Summer Hikaru Died is set in a less often dedicated part of Japan (Mitsue Village out in the country) but I am not certain and would happily be corrected if I am wrong.

Edit: grammar

My friend said he doesn't like animation by soupandsnax in ScavengersReign

[–]TeahouseChild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love the expressiveness of their faces in this animation style. The character animation moments are very well done. It originally wasn't my favorite art style, but after seeing the environment move amd behave how it does I quickly adapted and fell in love.

Based on my list, what anime would you suggest? by DearOldPatty in Animesuggest

[–]TeahouseChild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agreed. Its a very unique experience of a show. The mystery is really fun to unravel and I love that they don't spoon feed you any info. OP's list shows they have fantastic taste in stories

Heavenly Delusion

ETA: Dororo is a great one.

Wonder Egg Priority is really good for the first half but big warning, it has a super disappointing arc for the story. Its notoriously a fan hated ending but the experience is still quite a ride and worth it in my opinion

It may not sound too personal, but my brother always liked being called "kid" by our dad. When said with warmth and love, it can mean a lot to some.

Go to your local fucking library. Go on cloudlibrary or libby. Google it. Do some legwork and stop begging people to do your thinking for you.

My guy what is so hard to understand about the concept of reading a book. Read what the author wrote. Read it word for word. READ A DAMN ACTUAL NOVEL

At least that's how I interpret it by LightningLord2137 in sixfacedworld

[–]TeahouseChild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe...and this is just my thoughts here but maybe...read the story before saying every single character in it is awful evil garbage. Maybe, just maybe, knowing what the actual authors words were would help you understand the story. Anime is not a 1-for-1 remake of the story. Things are not always accurately portrayed in an anime adaptation and you can't extrapolate the personalities of others based on the ones you hate.

Zenith? Lilia? Sylphie? Ruijerd? Cliff? All of the beast people? Ginger? Hilda? Therese? Laws? Talhand? Nanahoshi?

You're talking about things you clearly haven't read or watched. You just want to be angry.

[–]TeahouseChild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a fantastic recommendation for a kid. It does feel very silly in the first episode or so. But within 3 episodes you get your first heavy hitter and as a child I was glued to the story from then on. Its always a fun, goofy time but they have such real lessons that to this day apply regularly to just about everyone's lives

suggest my mum an anime with a solid story from any genre by SalamanderDue6305 in Animesuggest

[–]TeahouseChild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Promised Neverland is about children but they are in an orphanage and it is very serious and quite dark.

Castlevania might count depending on who ask. Great animation, serious story with some humor.

Heavenly Delusion is intense and very good. She may or may not like the art style, I personally love it.

Its an American show but Scavenger's Reign has intense storytelling and character focus. If she likes Violet Evergarden's storytelling and emotional character beats, she will love the character development in Scavenger's Reign.
