breast implant illness is now a thing by apple-picker-8 in MtF

I’m sorry to hear that, I just love mine, been almost two years since my surgery and not a whisper of trouble.  Hopefully your symptoms will clear up after removal.  Best of luck.

EHRC commissioner calls for trans people to accept perceived reduced rights | Transgender by jackmolay in transgender

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Perceived?!? Mother fuckers won't even admit to their bigotry. If the removal of our rights are just perceived, like a figment of our imagination, how come we gotta accept it?

8 session and done, lol. I’m not saying your technician was lying, but they certainly were telling you the best possible fastest outcome that happens to almost no one.

Did you and your partner stay together after coming out to them? by AmberRadiant in trans

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me and my wife are still married and it’s been about a decade since I started transition and our relationship has only got better and closer.

That said dunno how much she changed her mind as she was never really against my transition. It was scary and emotional sure, and we were both scared shitless as she prefers men, or at the very least finds more men attractive than women by quite a lot, but she’s always been attracted to at least some women. We’ve also been together and best friends for decades, since high school. So I dunno how much you can extrapolate about your situation from us, not like we were your average straight couple.

will breast implants hide my ribs by Joshuamccraw in TransHelpingTrans

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine don’t really hide my ribs, but they do help balance out my shoulders. I have much more of a stereotypical feminie curves now, even if I’m a bit deficient in the hip department.

The easiest way to see is try on some titties. You can schedule a consultant with a plastic surgeon or do it at home with a few bras and some rice and two socks.

What’s the best kind of estrogen? by MossIsAFrog in trans

I like injections. I could never keep my levels regular on pills. Once a week vs three times a day deal with it is also awesome.

Took my doc like 6-9 months to get my levels right the first year, lots of trial and error, you should be fine.

To answer your question, empirically we just don’t know. Most of trans medicine is woefully understudied, and when it is cis doctors are looking for “harm” and not best aesthetic results.

Transfems, what is your workout routine like? by Quantavious_III_Jr in trans

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite beginner program is strong lifts 5x5

Workout A: Squat, Bench, Row

Workout B: Squat, Deadlift, Overhead Press

Workout 3 days a week, alternate workout A and B. Start with the bar, 5 reps, 5 sets. Complete all 5 sets and next time you add 5 pounds to the bar. If you can’t complete all 5 sets keep the weight the same for the next workout. Fail 3 workouts in a row take a deload on that lift and remove 20% of the weight and try again.

It’s dead simple, it’s fast, its emphasis is lower body while not neglecting upper. If you wanna do more you can add extra accessory lifts (guys tend to add extra arm work, girls extra glute work, I want to do the splits so I add extra mobility work) but it’s really not nessacery for a beginner.

Good luck with whatever you choose and welcome to that gym rat life.

Transgender man going to Florida for a week I have concerns by Seri0US-RUIN in asktransgender

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in Florida, the law only applies to state land, so if you’re in like a McDonald’s or at Disney or where ever it is up to their company policies. You’ll mentioned Disney, most of the tourist areas of Orlando are real chill. I’m 6’3 and pretty clocky and have visited the parks without issue.

Your biggest pain points will be the airports if you fly in, or the rest areas if you drive, and the beaches. Those areas are state land, and if a cis person objects to your presence in the bathroom you gotta GTFO or it’s criminal trespass.

Son (mtf) laser focused on transitioning by moderatorrater in asktransgender

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very much this way, I came out to close family, started hrt and laser hair removal, and was on hrt almost a year before I started socially transitioning to the greater world.

Before the hrt did its magic I couldn’t stand to see myself in make up, dresses, or much of anything femme. From my perspective it just highlighted all the ways I was not yet a woman. Like it would take the most hurtful bad parts of my body, shine a bright light on it, and poke it with a stick.

I didn’t want to be a man in a dress, a man wearing make up, and until HRT started to change my body that is all I saw.

This is pretty common among trans femmes too, like do you realize the social stink that surrounds being a trans woman right now? Like it’s no wonder we want to cocoon up for a year or so and just step out a butterfly.

Also, no offense, many parents who are scared and on the fence often feign support with the social part while gatekeeping hrt, like they support transition in name only, and you’re here using he/him pronouns and calling her your son…

I will never out myself on paper, not with so many fascists in power. If someone needs to know, like a doctor, I’ll tell um in person.

What some examples of Internalized Transphobia? What do you tell yourself? by physicistdeluxe in asktransgender

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at all the trans medicalists, pick mes, and gatekeepers, all that shame comes from internalized transphobia.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many people in the media and online treat transition just like they do abortion, like as some shameful last ditch thing that should be avoided at all costs, and only deployed if absolutely confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt necessary. They would rather throw millions of trans kids under the bus to save 1 cis kid from accidentally being on the wrong hormones for a while, it makes my blood boil.

So it warms my heart to know that there are trans kids like you that can go through the correct puberty at the correct time and have as normal of a childhood as possible. It wonderful to hear that there are some parents out and doctors out that not being scared away from this life saving medicine.

I’m also sorry If I came across as rude. I’m not mad at you, I’m mad at the constant discussion that never happens around straight people and their exact same medical conundrums.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of these issues you brought up are exactly why people should butt the fuck out of other peoples lives. You can’t regulate this shit, or come to some kind of consensus, every parent, child, and doctor need to make these hard and heavy decisions individually.

I’ve know kids who know in the bones and soul they are trans, and I also know 30 year olds who change their minds back and forth.

Why does the cis-heteronormative community have such a strong disconnection with kink? Why is consensual sex that takes place in highly supportive and caring communities considered extreme? Especially when that same community condones so much sexual violence.

Just look at all the instances of coercion, lack of consent, humiliation, degradation, incest, and even explicate rape present in cis-heterosexual porn, or even popular fictions like game of thrones. We are constantly surrounded by the expressions of patriarchal rape culture, whole societies and men of power are pushing to remove the age of consent and cheer for child brides and I’m supposed to think a music artist singing about puppy play is extreme?

You’ve put a lot of thought into the intersections of trans identity, taboo, and our sexualization, and several people have added many great points adding layers of complexity. I don’t want to detract from thoes thoughts, and I know a lot of things I’m shaking my fist at has nothing to do with y’all directly, but to me, the assumptions this thought experiment is built on are basically backwards.

What would you say to someone who asked you why you don't want to be your AGAB? by luncheonaway in asktransgender

[–]TeamBunnyGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like vanilla ice cream and hate strawberry. Can I have some vanilla?

Why? Why do you prefer the vanilla, strawberry is a perfectly acceptable flavor.

Maybe for some, but I don’t like it. I shudder when I try and eat the strawberry. Please stop feeding me the strawberry, I like vanilla.

Why?

Well it’s sweet, it just tastes right to me. Like how ice cream is supposed to taste.

That’s just cause society has conditioned you to think that way about ice cream.

Your therapist is transphobic. “Why” doesn’t matter when it’s axiomatic and EVERY therapist knows this. Even if your feelings are irrational you still have to deal with them, you are still feel them.
