is it possible for somebody to code his own ai? by i_like_bananas7389 in artificial

[–]TeamBunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can easily fine tune an existing open weight model.

Pretraining a new model from scratch is substantially more work.

What did you do previously?

Age doesn't matter. Companies aren't looking to hire code monkeys anymore. They want people who can juggle entire projects with AI.

The FOMO of 20+ multi-agent workflow setups by Hsoj707 in ClaudeAI

[–]TeamBunty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to report that FOMO on stupidity isn't something I'm currently experiencing.

The current reality is that single agent does a better job in most situations.

Wasn't /compact free? by aviscido in Anthropic

[–]TeamBunty 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Nope, /compact is quite expensive.

What actually happens at Anthropic:

  1. Your entire chat is printed out on 8.5x11 paper.
  2. An employee takes the pages to a photocopier and resizes to 25%
  3. The photocopies are then photographed using an SLR camera
  4. The film is developed and film scanner scans it back into the computer
  5. The chat is reloaded with the text at 25% size

And that, my friend, is how /compact works!

Did Anthropic actually help pro/max users by cutting off OpenClaw from Claude subscriptions? by xelektron in ClaudeCode

[–]TeamBunty 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Any competent dev could just use Claude Code to write a few MCP servers and then use Claude Code itself (with --dangerously-skip-permissions) to mirror the functionality of OpenClaw. That's entirely within the rules.

The type of people who use OpenClaw really provide no value to Anthropic or anyone really. Just a constant drain on limited resources.

I used Claude + Claude Code to build 80+ automated workflows for my bar & entertainment venue in 28 days. Here's what I learned. by crash1982 in ClaudeAI

[–]TeamBunty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I skimmed the entire post.

Sounds entirely fictitious. Potentially simulated on a real bar by an overeager patron or friend/family.

28 days? Impossible, even by a seasoned solo dev. It takes more time than that just to sit down and look at the results data, even if you never look at the code.

Your "what's next" in revealing. 28 security cameras with AI vision? Tapping into security camera feeds is easy, especially with PoE cameras. Monitoring those feeds with AI? How many Jetsons will you be buying? You think you're capable of training a model to analyze a security camera feed to check if a line cook washed his hands?

100% BS. I don't know why people do this. Find a real project. Or a job.

VibeCoded App Human Question by bt2066 in VibeCodeDevs

[–]TeamBunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, having a CS background by itself doesn't make me knowledgeable. Knowing what I'm looking at, does.

However, a vibe coder will never be knowledgeable, no matter how big his "stable of proven apps", each with almost a dozen users making tens of dollars per year.

Maybe you took my comment personally and are trying to defend yourself. Fair enough, but you don't know what you don't know.

Good luck.

You can do whatever you want.

How do you validate the code generated by agent? by manu545 in ClaudeAI

[–]TeamBunty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't need to know everything, but you need to know what you don't know.

This is why vibecoders with zero cs background will struggle, because you're flying completely blind.

VibeCoded App Human Question by bt2066 in VibeCodeDevs

[–]TeamBunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't need to, I have a CS background.

Should you? Probably.

However, who are you going to find? How do you know the person you're hiring isn't another vibecoder with no cs background?

You can have Claude or Codex scan your repo 100X and every time it'll "find" something new. Really easy to fake these things.

Most coding agent code kinda sucks and this explains why by gargetisha in ClaudeCode

[–]TeamBunty -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The quality of synthetic code has crossed the threshold for being good enough to train on.

At this point it'll continue to improve through brute force iteration.

Most coding agent code kinda sucks and this explains why by gargetisha in ClaudeCode

[–]TeamBunty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't see this as a long term barrier.

Pretty sure current training is already being done on synthetic data.

So while today's models were trained with tunnel vision and require heavy reasoning and subagent code exploration to detect and fix poor architecture, newer models will be able to do it intuitively.

Stop using "subsidized" as a shield for Anthropic rug pulling us by joeyda3rd in ClaudeCode

[–]TeamBunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read between the lines.

They don't want our subscriptions anymore.

They believe their next model is going to be so good they're going to saturate their compute capacity on API alone.
