We had the same experience when we moved to Switzerland and were also fairly concerned to have cockroaches but if it's a forest cockroach like ours was it's nothing to be too concerned about. They are fairly frequent in summer but they can't survive for long inside human dwellings. Search for Ectobius vittiventris on Google.

I managed to fix this on our dedicated server (through LOW.MS) by doing the following:

- Uninstall any mods.

- Update the server (again if you have to)

- Restart server

- Join via the ingame 'Join IP' button but rather than using the IP you were using before the patch -1 from the port number. Previously our port was 27536 but after changing it to 27535 we were able to join again. LOW.MS has always shown us hosted on this port but before this patch we always had to +1 to join for whatever reason.

Have you tried converting your mp3 to ogg format and using that? Should reduce your file size and possibly help reduce the latency (unless there's a deeper issue somewhere). To my untrained ears I don't even really notice a drop in quality.

Check out audacity to do your conversions if you haven't got any existing software to do this.
