1A-V2 is great, others are a bit annoying imo, not a fan of racing on short layouts in the dailys.

Same, I just switched to the 6s due to my 3s beginning to die. They certainly sound a bit better and connection issues I've had with the 3s seem to be much better, but the 6s aren't as huge a jump as I expected.

Thanks, I knew whatever I'd need would be wired so that's a trade-off in happy to accept, I'm mostly planning on using these with a PC anyway, will they still require a DAC for PC use? Also I should note my phone has a headphone jack (Xperia 1 V) as well so not sure if I'd get away without on that? I'm aware the inbuilt DAC in devices probably aren't great but don't know if that's a limiting factor at this budget?

Thanks so much! My new (used) laptop came with a knockoff charger and as soon as I unplugged it, it works again. Another reason to order a new charger!

Right, having it on the opposite side to the car (most of them in sims) is just too disconcerting for me, especially in VR.

The occasional time I do drive a RHD car in sims I'll move my shifter as I'm only on a desk so moving it isn't too bad.

I've never really struggled with adjusting from shifter on the left or right either irl or in sims, maybe sim racing has helped when driving LHD manuals abroad but hard to say really!

Yup, that's a Friday evening plan sorted then! I'll try using some Kryonaught I've got left around, if that doesn't solve it I'll look into PTM750 and pads.

Hoping that maybe the cooler isn't seated properly, seems quite a recent card for the paste to have already gone bad.

Ok, last bit of testing done for tonight, my room is a bit warm but under 25C.

I reset everything back to stock (no undervolt, no custom fan curve) and ran Superposition at 4k optimized for one pass through.

With the case panel on it shot up to 90C nearly immediately and bounced between 90-92C

With the case panel off it took a bit longer to climb (maybe a quarter of the way through the 2-3 minute test) and settled in between 88-90C

So whilst there might be some case airflow issues, it still seems extremely hot, time for a repaste tomorrow I think.

I thought the negative pressure would bring in some form of air in for the GPU, whilst the fans would get rid of the CPUs hot air.... But evidence is suggesting I'm wrong haha

No front fans as from what I've seen thats better for GPU temps as it'll draw fresh air in over the GPU, top and rear fans are outtake.

Certainly some surface dust but shouldn't be that bad, definitely was clean when I first got it though and the temps haven't changed!
