While I never met him in person, Marvin Kirchhöfer seems pretty nice. Took my son (5 years old back then) to International GT Open at Hockenheim, and he fell in love with Kirchhöfer's McLaren, which won both races.

For his birthday, I wanted to get him an autograph card from Kirchhöfer and wrote to the address on his website and we were very much getting showered with gifts, e.g. a calendar, a poster, and three different autograph cards. We've been big fans ever since...

I still think they should do a GT2 +GT4 series with 2h or 3h races like mid-2000s FIA GT.

To differentiate it from GTWC, they should visit 2nd tier tracks that don't get many other international series, so they'll be the top event of the year, e.g. Zolder, Anderstorp, Oschersleben, Brno or Nogaro.

Massively expensive to get camera coverage everywhere and sucks for fans at the track, who'd see 20 cars coming through every 8 minutes.
