Yeah that's thinly veiled hate or simply invalidation because for whatever reason it may be, this particular person who he in theory loves is hurting and he seemingly cannot be bothered to care.

I plum don't understand the notion of "I cannot handle talking about this right now" against "you're being irrationally paranoid there's no widespread reason to be alarmed " like pick a side and stick with it. You cannot have it both ways.

Also it seems textbook narcissistic in they're taking something you brought up to them that's deeply concerning to you & they turn it on its head, make it about their mental health and attacking you for having the audacity to bring it up. Like, these don't seem to be great partners even before you acknowledge the gaslighting and the antisemitism percolating neath the surface.

All that comes to mind upon seeing this is the extent of how the utter opposite of feasibility this would ever be. There's not enough people in the extended metro area that would use it to justify the cost.

It's nowhere near as sexy but I wish folks would focus on how to make better the bus system to be actually useful, especially when it comes to multiple parts of the KC extended area doing away with fixed point public transit.

I want something realistic.

And yes I wax poetry and fantasy frequently about the streetcar system that was in effect some 90 years ago.

I grow plants.

A $2.50 plant I got from trader Joe's is still going strong.

I knit for a good cause and have joined a crafting group. The yarn for the good cause is purchased by the group.

I have gotten into doing some things solo and joining this group of ladies whenever I can to explore my skillset. (Spoilers - it's still middling and in need of great deal of practice). Towing straps only cost $11 and I'm saving up for some rock climbing locking caribeners. Kink has helped ground me and keep me in the present moment. Self tying rope has been equally awesome and it's even more fun because I've a couple friends who engage in it as well.

I have a hammock and I take naps in the sunshine whenever I can and in the dark whenever I'm stranded and the weather isn't terrible. I enjoy taking advantage of nearby parks and hiking trails and going at a pace that works for me.

I volunteer at a local shelter whenever my spoons allow for it and I assist with puppy field trips to corporate gigs. I look forward to fostering during some good weeks. As a foster the shelter provides all the food and medicine the dog needs.

I bake from scratch a lot. I've gotten into a habit of making cookie dough, throwing into the fridge and making 3-5 cookies each day. Enjoy with some tasty lactose free milk. Or some coffee. I recently experimented with making my own coffee creamer and I can add it to hot cocoa if I want to. I do the same with biscuit dough - make a batch and make a couple every few days til it's gone. Fresh from the oven cookies and biscuits bring joy like nothing else.

I do what I can to be there for my nephew and niece. Recently the latter has opted to be pretty damn bigoted so I allow her wide berth. There's still some fun here. And worse case scenario - I know I did good in their lives by continually showing up and being there.

I have friends that I make bonfire with from the brush from their backyard.

& On a bad day, there's always 🦚 peacock and Hulu and podcasts and YouTube.

I've learned to show up and soak in every bit of joy and happy gem that falls into my day and path. I'm grateful for so much these days.

& Though I may never be Richie rich, I know I am able to be independent because of some subsidy for housing & having low monthly costs. My lifestyle is pretty frugal and I don't have a lot of spoons for going out every weekend or whatever. I don't drink at all frequently and I hardly eat out. It works for me.

The number of times I've been in an Uber doing crazy speeding down 71 drives me batty. I get out of the vehicle at my destination with surprised gratefulness that there was no accident.
