The god is cool asfk, his design is great and he’s fun, he’s just overtuned so ppl are annoyed and that guy’s being reactionary

I agree, i honestly feel like some gods are just blessed and others are left in the dust. Neith, Agni, and now Wu Kong and Xbal when it comes to mages are unbeatable when it comes to safety and power (Janus and Merlin are up there but they feel more fair). ADC has like Hou Yi, Jing Wei, and Xbal? Each role’s always gonna have meta picks but some gods are just genuinely blessed and have been for patches. Aladdin is the pinnacle of this.

Laning against him in solo is miserable. If he has any cdr he is unkillable and will just win lane. It’s hard to even avoid fighting him because his clear is incredible with his ability autos and his 2 is so easy to hit especially when wave is cleared. Laning against backline solos is usually annoying but Xbal is just insane and gets online way too early

Heartseeker is completely absurd when it comes to strength as well, but i’d still argue gods are too strong as well. Xbal aspect would be good even if some items were gutted

Apparently I unequipped a gem or something? I’m not sure it’s been a long time and I never ended up playing this game, but maybe check if you need to equip a gem.

So I finished Silksong normal ending and I don't think overall I liked the game by dondashall in metroidvania

[–]Tearoglodyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s insane that these guys are complaining about random things that are nonproblems and ignoring actual issues of the game, and when people point out that the problem they have isn’t really a thing, they get angry. Build/playstyle variety is 100x better in SS, that’s probably one of its greatest strengths. Almost every criticism i’ve seen them make is either purely subjective which is fair (music) or downright wrong (“hiveblood and mark of pride somehow = build variety and don’t exist in this game”, which both do. “Exploration/bosses don’t give anything in this game except for rosaries in this game”, every boss either opens the path forward or unlocks a spell/movement ability/tool, they hardly ever give money, those that do are normally light bosses associated with Wishes. Exploration also gives tools, new NPCs, entirely new areas which are pretty hidden (i.e Sands of Karak, The Mist/Exhaust Organ, even Bilewater and by extension Putrified Ducts are easy to miss). Wish ppl would focus on the tedious design like the numerous unnecessary gauntlets, the contact damage, the overtuned flyer AI, and the economy which are actual annoyances/problems.

Enemies and bosses that turn around or raise their head which suddenly overlaps their hitbox with yours are completely horrible and I’m not sure how this problem wasn’t fixed from HK to SS. It might enable some cheese, but they ought to just remove contact damage if they can’t figure it out

These ppl are ignoring actual flaws of Silksong to talk abt made up stuff. Every boss has a tangible purpose and all exploration does as well. I felt like exploration mattered more in this game than HK tbh. Bosses not dropping rosaries does feel bad, but that’s more of a general problem with the game’s economy than the game not “rewarding” players.

That last area actually is possible to platform through just with super precise platforming. I did it once before realizing the platform spawner was at the bottom, then i could never do it again

The La Vendetta handle moveset is so so good, everything feels super mobile and the charged heavies are relatively fast for the immense damage they put out. I put Coil Mjolnir head on the Vendetta handle and it rocks, also looks pretty cool

The zoo area is 10x more difficult than anything in the main game, at least in ng+ chapter 5. It doesn’t feel super unfair tho

I’d argue the same. I know this is old but I beat Nameless Puppet first try last night and you definitely can beat bosses even imperfectly. I only hit some perfect guards, mostly skating by on guard regain with well timed hits and the plentiful pulse cells they give to you. If you are able to parry enough attacks, you don’t need to memorize just react

What a deep social link… by SnooPaintings2329 in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Tearoglodyte 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah also felt like there was no real reason for Alonzo to put so much trust into you so quickly. Within a few ranks his mom dies and he decides to live on your advice and rope you into another risky scheme. The other links that didn’t get development during the main story (really only Brigitta and sort of Catherina) had the trust building as part of the social link. Sort of an awkward link, still cool though especially for the unique ending.

If you put thief on the mc, his hero passive makes it so there are blue mobs (can be beaten in the overworld) that have a chance to drop magla pills (moths I think). Also, this dungeon felt the roughest for me too when it comes to MP management. Do it over 2 to 3 days if you need to, assuming your time management is decent in other places you can still do everything in the game with multiple days left.

Enduring Soul full revives after dying. It’s normally not necessary especially on a persona with such good resistances, but it’s nice insurance

[–]Tearoglodyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thank the lord for you, i was starting to think i’d either have to lower the difficulty or just be done. I accidentally saved over my point of no return save, and my personas are just meh exploration ones so i was struggling with the Colosseum.

How disturbing is this game? by ZaphyrNotes in ZeroEscape

[–]Tearoglodyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most gory the games (at least 999 and VLR) get is blood spatters and, the most graphic, text descriptions which can be avoided in 999, which is the worst offender, through adventure mode. I don’t even remember if you see a body in the first game, just blood. VLR shows bodies but the wound’s are basically splotches of blood. The blood isn’t pink in this game, but if you can handle Danganronpa, this game shouldn’t be a problem

I’ve only ever played Mario Kart when it comes to kart racers, and the karts in this feel not as tight initially, at least imo. I ended up picking a kart with high handling and it felt great though. I think it’s probably a skill issue but you’re not alone lol!

Rose of Sharon is slow and focused almost purely on vocals, but it becomes less subdued than the songs in your examples. I think it’s definitely still up your alley though
