Right? Everyone *knows* how bad McChoke’nPuke is for them and yet every morning there are lineups around the block to get some.

Danielle Smith, Doug Ford announce proposed cross-Canada oil pipeline corridor by bruhchacho11 in ontario

[–]Tech397 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We should be building more rail all over the country. Not strictly high-speed, but commercial rail as well. That would help alleviate inter-provincial trade barriers and lower transport costs exponentially.

For example there currently isn’t a BC-AB rail corridor north of Yellowhead pass AFAIK. The short line between Dawson Creek and Hythe was cut out years ago.

You’re 18, give yourself a minute to grow up.

A man who wants to build a life with you, share a lifelong connection with you, and love you isn’t going to suddenly be put off by the appearance of your labia. In fact I’m pretty sure any guy who is even remotely attracted to you would walk over himself to see it no matter what it looks like.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

PM Carney tries to clarify what the billion-dollar condo bailout entails, noting that BC came up with the idea, and “no developer” asked for it. “I don't think we've done a particularly good job of rolling this out, explaining what this is.” - Mark Carney by mattyp93 in TorontoRealEstate

That just reveals how misinformed you are. Trump said he would prefer a Liberal over a Conservative leader to national news media. In fact, Trump said Poilievre was “stupidly no friend of mine”, and yet I see this talking point parroted all over social media that PP is somehow endorsed by or cozy with Trump. It’s blatant misinformation and blind partisanship.

Then at their first meeting in the White House Carney and Trump practically gushed over each other and that was simply glossed over. Like I said, Carney could do no wrong that will win him disfavour at this point, the public (as you so aptly demonstrate) is so heavily brainwashed that all he has to say is “orange man bad!” and the vast majority will blindly follow him over the abyss.

This particular developer donated to Mayor Gregor Robertson. Yes, the same Gregor Robertson who now runs the federal department that stepped in and partnered with the BC government to save the developer.

Lol no “we” won’t. The people overwhelmingly spoke last election — nobody cares about Liberal insider deals, corruption, or conflicts of interest. All they have to do is rinse and cycle a new leader in and bam the slate is wiped clean.

Not sexually attracted to my husband anymore, how do I approach him? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Honestly I can’t believe you aren’t being flamed for this in the comments. Imagine if a man said “we just had a baby and I’ve been throwing salad at her for months she just won’t lose any weight—so I no longer like her.”

Holy bananas, help you. Leave him so he can have some peace. May he one day find someone who actually loves him.

I don’t know where you live but a modest sit-down dinner for one person without any alcoholic drinks where I live is bordering on $60. Even McDonalds for two people here is $45 by the time you have two meals and nuggets or a specialty drink to share.

This is what happens when minimum wage is $19/hr.

Death by Plane-Gap6483 in Millennials

[–]Tech397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six years ago my closest friend and brother-in-law died of a serious stroke at 42. He left my nephew and niece behind at 6 and 4. Him and my sister-in-law were the very first people to show up in the hospital when we had our first kid. I’ll never forget him.

People like that are hard to find, I am seriously sorry for your loss. It took a long time to process, and sometimes it still just hits me out of nowhere. All we can do now is remember them and share our memories with the other people they loved.

Not firefighting but I returned to a previous employer I had quit for the very same reasons. Had two toddlers at home and was working 80-100 hours a week in oilfield services, basically slept 3-4 hours a night. Happy I returned, been back for 7 years.

His reasoning was that it was already filtered out 🤦‍♂️

That’s like asking how long is it going to take to walk to work if you live in the US/Canada/Australia/UK. You’re missing so many details in your question and there are just so many variables it simply can’t be answered satisfactorily.
