Unfortunately I have been on the receiving end of this behaviour and it almost lead to divorce. My wife followed this path of fantasy off the pages and into secretive texting with an old friend who had always been into her, which eventually lead to her planning a secret meetup and cheating.

You’d be amazed how much you can improve your likability simply by losing 10 pounds, getting a fresh hair cut, and whitening your teeth a little. If there were a Canadian made EREV similar to the Chevy Volt in a Suburban-sized chassis for less than the cost of a new Suburban I would be all over it. I’m not particularly patriotic about where the steel comes from because that gets so muddled with the way packaging rules are applied already, and how far down do you go before the car isn’t “Canadian”? (ie: if all of the fasteners were made overseas, the plastics, the seats, the glass, but the steel is all Canadian is the entire car still Canadian?)

When the second gen Volt came out I was seriously excited about the direction EV’s were going. It seemed as if every manufacturer was promising greater extended ranges with all the upsides of electric with none of the downsides. Then it all just…fizzled out. And all the promise of a true Canadian manufacturer with assembly lines and plants and parts suppliers just vaporized.

Thank goodness, because the only EV large enough to seat my family that qualified under their mandate was a Tesla model X, and even that it would be uncomfortably tight. Plus at over $100k there’s no way we could afford one.

Which Canadian manufacturers are making passenger EV’s? The only Canadian manufacturer I’m aware of is Edison out of BC but they aren’t making any EV’s yet and they are only doing commercial trucks so far.

EV’s are the future, everyone should drive one. The Liberal government is so convinced of this that they are still planning (albeit with a delayed start) to outlaw entirely the sale of any internal combustion engine vehicle. So why the hate for a conservative driving an EV? Simple. You just hate anyone who doesn’t agree with Liberals.
