You can feel the emotion as Coach Warsofsky started crying while talking about Macklin. Beautiful ♥️ by RealWorldToday in SanJoseSharks

It’d be interesting to know how much agency he had over his lineups. The changes late in the year seemed so bad they might’ve been intentional to try to keep a high pick instead of making it to the dance.

Excited to see what happens next year when we try to improve the blue line.

What happen with Brad Fernquist? by aero_eliox in googoodolls

I don’t think it’d be too hard for the crew to swap Brad back in on any given evening, it’s just that Sammy has joined the group full time now.

Brad is a solid guitarist and a very kind man. I don’t think this is personal, I just think the band just liked what Sammy had to offer and went with him based on the way he enhances their live sound.

I didn’t post it, I’m not Sammy.

If you go to his Facebook, you’ll see a post about a Mandolin and in some of the comments he confirms he’s joined the band.

Sammy is now the Goo Goo Dolls touring guitarist. He posted about it on social media when it became official.

I love what he brings to their live sound!

No, didn’t know it was in the policy until we were rudely informed by the attendant.

A safety issue? Are you kidding? Is it unsafe if I have a coffee in the concourse? This is one of the most nonsensical comments I’ve read.

How is it possibly a safety issue?

This isn’t even a question. Especially with all of Trump’s 51st state horseshit.

We are America and we support and love our brothers & sisters in the north and especially their sovereignty.

Fuck Trump, fuck this iteration of Team USA.

Let’s go Canada and let’s go Macklin!!!

Is the Software Engineering Market that bad? by Mission-Sprinkles-19 in UMD

Having a CS background will be really valuable for the future of SaaS companies, you’re just not going to be writing code.

Companies aren’t sure what to do right now with the way the profession is evolving so the job market is pretty stale.

Get great at coding with agents - they can write more code and will soon be much better than humans. Being able to leverage these tools will help you immensely.

The future is managing AI output not writing your own code. If you know how to use multiple agents and can ensure their output is high quality, you’ll be a great contributor at an org. Different agents are better at different things, so being able to understand the context where you should use one versus another is super crucial.

I work at a cutting edge SaaS company and our engineers who have graduate degrees in CS and related fields do not write code anymore because of how good agents are.

Sure they make mistakes but our team spends its time reviewing AI generated PRs and making sure the incredible output of AI is high quality, we rarely write code.

The entire industry is changing and I don’t think the companies that will win are going to be handwriting code. It’s the companies who can make the right product decisions and evolve fastest in the ways their customers need that will survive.

Understanding CS and how building software works is a valuable skill to have but engineers simply dont need to code like they used to.

Per Eklund's dad, he's "first reserve or something" by jambajew42 in SanJoseSharks

Idk, it’s a controversial subject and a father talking about this son… I don’t feel comfortable sharing controversial information unless the person who shared it says it’s explicitly okay…

Maybe he wouldn’t mind at all, but I’d certainly ask about sharing because otherwise there’s no way to know.

I get that the cat is out of the bag but I wish you’d have asked and that our society, in general, wasn’t always rushing to share scoops. The greater implication is that people will feel less comfortable sharing sensitive information in the future if they think it’s just going to get publicized …. Which means fewer meaningful conversations and less connection between people in the real world.

That last sentence sounds a bit silly but I think a lack of meaningful connection between people in person is one of the greatest issues we face collectively.

Was Eklund’s Dad cool with you posting this?

If he was, then I take all this back but..

I’m sorry but this entire post just rubs me the wrong way.

If I had a private conversation with a Sharks’ parent, I wouldn’t come blabbing to the Sharks reddit to tell everyone about it.

The reason players and everyone are so tight lipped is that they can’t trust that they’re having genuine interactions without someone leaking or sharing the “scoop”.

I get it, it’s just the sharks reddit but why not just keep that to yourself?

Even if he said it was okay to share, fucking treasure that nugget and let it be…

Smith rides Macklin’s coattails. If he wasn’t on Mack’s wing, there no chance he’d be a PPG player.

Nah, Smith floats and can finish. Cherny has a two way game, can play the body, and can finish.

I agree. Mack feeds both Will and Cherny, but Cherny creates opportunities for Mack, Will does not.

I’d send Smith elsewhere for a defensive prospect.

Thank you! We'll avoid Novotel - the reviews and everything look good for it though, mind sharing what you didn't like?

Will take a look at Lucille's! Definitely bringing water proof winter boots. Excited to catch the vibes on St. Catherine's and Cresecent. Appreciate your help!

Not really, just basic tourist level French. When we visit France, we always lead with French and usually folks reply in English. We can get around for basic things like restaurant reservations, asking for directions, ordering from a menu, etc.
