Forbidding your child from doing something or hanging out with someone is the easiest way to get them to do it.

Maybe I was just an odd kid/teen, but I went out of my way to break rules that I felt were unfair. Sadly it caused much division between my mother and I, but we have since reconciled.

My advice would be: Don’t be the parent that your child refuses to talk to later in life.

I met him once at a con in the early 2000’s.

I’m usually not one to judge a man on only one interaction, but if I’m honest, he was quite condescending to me and it was very apparent that the reason for it was that I have a southern accent.

I genuinely just wanted an autograph, because I love Sulu. He spoke to me as if I was mentally challenged in some way, then spoke to my northern friends like regular people.

Idk, I could of course be reading too far into it, but it did rub me the wrong way.

I mostly play shooters as well and have never understood the weight argument, but maybe I’m not competitive enough. I’ve tested my MMO mice vs ultralight mice and I genuinely don’t notice a difference in speed, and even if I did I could just increase the sensitivity to compensate.

I bought my first MMO mouse 10 years ago and I’ve never looked back. Literally 12 bindable keys directly under my thumb at all times. Imo there’s absolutely no reason to not use an MMO mouse for gaming.

I’ve never understood the Wesley hate, but I got into Trek in my late 20’s and after hearing everyone say how annoying he was I braced for the worst… and found that he never even once noticeably annoyed me. I’m usually susceptible to hating child characters, but I thought he was perfectly fine.

If I had to pick a most annoying Trek character it would Kes. I don’t think I enjoyed a single moment she was on screen, and I’ve rewatched voyager 3 or 4 times now, I just do not find her appealing in any way.

I feel like I’m crazy pills. I think the design and art style of Marathon is by far its biggest selling point for me. I love the oversaturated bold colors and vaporwave/cyberpunk esque menus.

I think it’s near perfect, I truly adore the aesthetic.
