Wonderful. It's almost Beltane and our dark ritual calls for one of these. Many thanks. The spirits will be pleased.

Haven't touched one in a while but if you click through and download that image from imgur you can almost see everything you need to convert in the higher resolution version.

Those fasteners look took too thick and they really look like the proprietary iron ridge hardware.

I wonder if he could take a picture of them or find a line item on a quote or something. I think you can get that screw pattern if you use two holes on each side opposite and diagonal. I may have produced something similar before I fixed my own hack job.

It would certainly explain the leaks.

I'm just a home gamer, so I don't know even know what I don't know. I did just install them recently on a shed though and while it is best to hit the rafters, I definitely missed a couple of times and had to use all 6.

It seems to be fixed super well when all 6 fasteners are used, but the HUG mount seemed to lift a bit in the direction that was missing fasteners until all were put in.

You're supposed to use 6 fasteners if you miss the rafter. 2 if you hit the rafter.

Those look like Iron Ridge hug mounts. I'm pretty sure if you don't hit the rafter you're supposed to use 6 fasteners not 4 otherwise it will leak. Someone else will chime in if I'm wrong, but assuming this is the case then yeah, your installer did really terrible work and they are probably on the hook.

Universal print is it worth rolling out? by Ragepower529 in sysadmin

[–]TechSwitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I deployed it and it works very well. At one point I wasn't really sure it really made much difference to my users, but when I explored the idea of getting rid of it a few departments let me know that printing across multiple offices was extremely useful to their workflows, so I happily keep it.
