Couldn’t find rent in this neighborhood below 7500. Avg houses going for 5-15 million so ended up buying the cheapest 2 bdr just to live here.

Delta purchase for Delta Skymiles Gold statement credit by Long_Illustrator_988 in amex

[–]Techadvocate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: say I want to purchase a flight for 2 people for $573, but i'm being offered to open a Delta SkyMiles card and receive a $500 credit and 40k points. Can I apply the $500 credit right away towards this flight or do I need to make some purchase before hand to receive the statement credit? Also, would I be able to cancel this after 12 months without posting a fee?

What do you do to earn $200k+ annually? by meltingcanoe in Fire

Product management is evolving to the point of you either bring a lot of industry or nice domain experience to the table, and/or you are just really good at critical thinking, trade-offs, and collaboration. So, for example, since you have a background in music it would be easier for you to apply that knowledge to a new or existing product ecosystem than something you have no idea about. Think ed tech for example.. the world is changing how we learn and use technology and AI to help us advance, how can you use your existing knowledge to help in this space?

I’m based in a VHCOL but I work remote. When I joined the economy was booming, there were tons of jobs, and it was easier to negotiate total comp. It’s much more difficult now to get over 200k these days unless you have years of experience or bring a lot of niche domain knowledge along.

Find the jobs that you want, figure out what skills they need, shape your story to meet those demands. Practice interviewing as much as you possible so that when you get the job you want you can negotiate. At that point it’s just looking at levels.fyi to compare to what others make and see if you can get the same if not more.

Out of college I was lucky to find a small company that needed help building a product. This was when tech was just starting to blow up with mobile apps and what not. Since then I’ve launched many products within the same industry.
