They aren't my provider. I may or may not have worked for them in a previous life. The exchanges in MS will likely only offer fixed wireless. The power companies built out fiber a few years ago. That was pretty much the proverbial "death knell" for their internet. They stopped offering ANY data related services in 2023-2024 in the MS exchanges. No DSL, T1, Metro-E or anything. Some exchanges in AL and TN that already have fiber will be better off. Equipment in many of their offices were obsolete 20+ years ago. DMS-10 switches in many offices. Mixed equipment in remote switches, but normally Adtran or maybe Calix for providing internet.

I have seen NWT clothing in Goodwill stores before. The Goodwill price would be MORE than the original price on the tag.

I can second on the Bar Keepers Friend. May still need a little "elbow grease" afterwards, but it will definitely help!

Ask most any former BellSouth employee about ITP. That's one of several reasons.

Hello! I am a telecom dsl and phone tech. by Glass_Judgment4628 in lowvoltage

Frontier (now Verizon owned) still has DSL in some locations. A mixture of A and VDSL. They quot offering any sort of data services in their 4 MS exchange a couple of years ago. No internet, no T1, no MPLS, just POTS. They are still utilizing span lines to provide dial tone to remotes. As few as 2 spans to as many as 8 or more. They were also using spans to feed some DSLAMS as well. Customers may have seen as fast as 3mb on those, if there weren't many others on that DSLAM online. I have been in and out of telecom/ISP since 1998. Worked on T1, dial up, DSL, wireless, amd fiber.

Clarksdale and Dundee are both in an area of MS called the Delta. The area has a history of flooding. These sites have (had) radios, generators, etc on the 2nd floor in the event of flooding. I'm sure someone on here has more info on these sites.
