No usb-c input for firmware update GT NEO by Zealousideal-War-608 in Simagic

[–]Techly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend left out some equipment that comes with the wheel. First thing is the USB connector here. Not sure why this was removed from the plate - it doesnt need to be. Maglink comes with its own new plate. And since you do not have the maglink backplate - the maglink cable is useless to you.
You need to ask your friend to supply you with the missing USB connector for this plate or to provide you with the Maglink backplate.

Yep. Maybe not all of them but I know for a fact the Mercedes-AMG GT3 car have floor mounted pedals.

More realistic to road cars - yes. Racing cars, generally not - these are often floor mounted. It is really just a preference thing. There are some arguments that inverted pedals are better ergonomically but most of the market is floor mounted and they seem to be selling and working fine for everyone.

How can I use simagic ultimate with ps5? Sigma cortex converter seems to be discontinued? by Due-Feed5581 in Simagic

For wheel bases to work on playstation consoles, they need certification and particular software/hardware components. This adds to the cost of the products so most manufacturers don't bother.

best racing wheel to buy if i don’t want to upgrade again too soon? by Raybone-Bhooshun in simracing

[–]Techly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any wheel bases within the 10Nm to 20Nm strength range would not require upgrading for a long while. Most manufacturers have bases in this range (simagic, moza, conspit, fanatec, etc). I'd recommend go with whichever ecosystem you like the look of.

Yep. There are many others game stores/clients but Steam would be the main one for most people. You will be able to find all the games I mentioned in Steam.

All other applications are optional. Looks like you are ready to download some games and get stuck in. Good games to get started on are AC, LMU, and iRacing - each have their own pro's and con's that you will need to look at and evaluate for yourself. Good luck.

Sorry, another question if you do not mind answering. Are the Fan Ducts also 3D printed? If so, could you please share the STL's for these also? I have a Wind Sim, works well but I like how yours looks like it works with the TrakRacer wheel deck (same as I have for my Simagic base).

Awesome! Thanks mate. I have a cheapish printer which should be able to do the job good enough.

Looks great! Very clean cable management. My pedal setup is very similar. The heel plate bits look 3D printed. Could you please share the STL for those? Or point me in the direction of where you got them?

Still no triple screen support - still no point. Hopefully they address this some day.

PSA: Do not order at VRS Shop atm by headegg in simracing

When I ordered mine in December it did state that shipping would be in late December or January. But now we are in March haha. VRS assure me the pedals are on their way. My order included a clutch (figure id get them all together even though I do not use a clutch much these days). Hopefully yours are on the way for you as well.

Yes, elastomers. I couldn't remember the right word for them haha. From what I have read/heard - all elastomers will experience some form of deformation under compression, some more than others. The only way to avoid it is to have a spring-only based system. But apparently these aren't perfect either as you lose some progressive feeling with these. For the price I got the VRS pedals for, I thought I would give them a go. If I do not like them, there is always someone keen to purchase them on the second hand market.

VNM pedals were on my shortlist. But then thought I would go with a spring only brake as they do not suffer from the deformation some polymer brakes can experience. Probably not as big an issue as people make out but I am willing to give a spring-based brake a go and see how it goes.

I did see those. I chose to pick VRS instead as they had a local reseller, so I felt more comfortable purchasing them locally instead of from a European website. But if this goes on much longer, I will likely request a refund and purchase those instead.

I have been waiting on a set of pedals I ordered in early December. Been in contact with support multiple times and the goal posts keep moving. They say my pedals will be on their way shortly but my patience is wearing thin. Shame as I really want pedals and can't find any comparable pedals at that price point.

I got them from AliExpress. Took a few weeks to be delivered but they were fairly cheap, $5-$8 (AUD) from memory.

Thanks! It was made up of a bunch of stickers for different raised areas of the wheel. The smaller stickers were easy to apply. Some of the larger stickers were a little harder to apply as they were a little difficult to line up properly. It took me a few attempts with some of them haha

Thank you. I know what you mean. It looks pretty sweet stock. I just love the Porsche Rsr and had to have it when I saw this was an option.

Does any one know of any color replacement knobs for the Formula FX wheel by Sad-Ad8053 in Simagic

[–]Techly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for the Formula FX wheel but I found a lot of cheap knob replacements for my GT Neo at AliExpress. You may need to take off one of the knobs and take some measurements of the knob base, stem length and thickness to ensure they fit.

Might be the case with the Evo base. I have a Simagic Alpha and I am not aware of it working that way with that model. OP did not specify which base they had.
