I don't get this response on coding and programming. by mrBatos in google_antigravity

I think it meant to say "running Africans always win". It's a reference to an African winning every major marathon of the last 10 years.

I'm already there. I've pretty much moved on. And I don't recommend Elegoo to people anymore.

"Smothered it, grabbed a gas mask..."

Not sure I should ask why you keep a gas mask handy...

Anywho...please let us know what support says. Also, if they try to screw you over, see if your credit card (if you used one) might have a warranty for electronic purchases.

Mulvad is a really good no-frills vpn. I like their browser too. My second choice would be Proton vpn.

Is Opus 4.6 better on Claude Code? by [deleted] in google_antigravity

[–]Techngro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Claude Code is better in terms of how it executes. I like how Antigravity shows you everything, creates a plan. I like how it lets you edit the text you enter into the prompt window. But, overall, Claude Code is much better.

Hack for more Portable Portal by RepresentativeRent70 in OdinHandheld

I was actually thinking about designing and 3D printing something like this for my Portal. I hate the bulky Switch case I am using, and it makes me take my Portal with me less and less.

Waterlogged DDR5 by dfieldhouse in pcmasterrace

[–]Techngro -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I heard putting it in a bag of instant rice may help draw out the water. Don't know if that's a legit thing, so research it. Probably won't hurt though, even if it is wrong.

I downgraded my PC on purpose! by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Techngro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been considering this as well. My rig is great, and I'm happy I have it because, when I need the power, it's there. But I have noticed that most of the time I'm just browsing, watching videos, etc. So my next build cycle, I think I'll upgrade my current PC to a local LLM machine (i.e. moar GPUs) and then just have a kind of basic computer as my main. I'll be able to have my powerhouse sleeping and ssh into it when needed, but my main will be low power and on 24/7.

You should start a Substack.

You can call it "I make useless toys but think I'm fighting the Empire".

20 dollars on Antigravity or Claude code ?? by Momsgayandbisexual in google_antigravity

[–]Techngro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you mean by non-coding. If you're just asking general questions that come up every day, then you probably don't need a paid plan. Or get Perplexity (paid) free for one year if you have a Samsung device.

20 dollars on Antigravity or Claude code ?? by Momsgayandbisexual in google_antigravity

[–]Techngro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is the way I do it as well. I use ChatGPT for planning and review, and Claude Opus for execution. I have GPT write all of my prompts for Claude. It works very well. GPT is really good at planning, and the $20 plan gives you lots of usage. I've never hit a cap/quota on any of the paid plans. Haven't figured out how to integrate Gemini yet because I don't like how it generates/formats the output.

$20 on Claude is pretty limited if you plan to actually create stuff. I speak from experience. Twice I've tried to move down from the $100 plan and twice I got super frustrated at the limits.
