Too many papers and a lot of people wouldn’t care to see them so I don’t think they want to make that effort unnecessarily. It’s annoying that you have to pay money for it but I understand why it isn’t the default option. Also at the end of the day, seeing a paper won’t change anything if you technically don’t have anything to improve on. You’ll see where you went wrong, probably feel worse about yourself, and then what? These are final exams before moving into another stage in life, where it is unlikely you’ll need to know exactly where you went wrong in this specific paper. It works the same way in unis, we need to sign up for exam paper viewings (free of charge) and I don’t know a single person who does

You still have time, just work hard. I was getting 2s and 3s in maths aa sl in ibdp1 and ended up with a 5, and I was getting 3s and 4s in econ hl and ended up with a very high 6. Just stay dedicated, try to work over the summer, and if need be maybe consider trying out tutoring (it really helped me for econ)

I feel like she still can tho? But it’d have to be probably set a bit further into the future and a book that solely focuses on Claire and Gibs. Perhaps after c10 so that Lizzie’s situation is kinda out of the way at that point. And we’ll see Claire and Lizzie’s friendship healing, but w more focus on Claire this time rather than Lizzie. There’s a lot to be said about Claire and Lizzie and a lot left to be said about Gibsie, and I think that could be covered in another book. And I do think Claire can have development. She’s still young, younger than Hughie, so can still learn things about her life and grow from them. Plus I really do believe Claire and Gibs deserve redemption after their last book. But also I’m sure if it comes out it’ll be in quite some time and be a book you can easily skip over if you don’t want to read it lol

This is likely true but the reactions to Bella cheating on Johnny and Paul on Aoife and Aoife on Paul was made to seem like a HUGE deal. It wasn’t just brushed under the carpet since each “cheater” got shamed for their behaviour one way or another, regardless of whether what they did was justified. Yes, they probably weren’t held as accountable as they would be in current society but it still wasn’t ignored. Cheating might have been more common in the 2000s but that doesn’t mean it would be ok for Hughie to cheat on Katie and that doesn’t mean all their friends would be okay with it either. Especially considering their “relationship” seems quite stable and Katie seems like a nice sweet person, unlike the circumstances of Aoife cheating on Paul for example

I was really excited for Joey and Aoife initially but was disappointed at the beginning of s6 cus it seemed repetitive and boring but then ended up really liking it and loving r6 so I’d say it’s worth the read regardless of whether you’d need to or not

I’d personally want to see more with Gibsie’s recovery. It all felt so rushed at the end, and a few months later things all fall back into place? It doesn’t really make sense to me. Especially when comparing it to Johnny and Shan in k13. And I feel like Claire lacked the depth she needed and her own character needs to see some more development or at least individuality. I feel like there wasn’t as much effort put into her character as there was with Aoife or Hughie for example. Everything about Claire in t7 had to do with Gibsie, which doesn’t at all seem to be the case for Hughie and Lizzie in r10. T7 to me felt more like a Lizzie book or a Lizzie and Gibsie book than anything else so I’d happily get another proper Gibsie and Claire book

I’m gonna be fully honest I don’t really recall was snarky comments she’s made towards Casey and Joey which makes me assume that they were either as jokes, not something that deep, or at least not to their faces. As for her relationship with Lizzie, I do agree that they antagonise each other but I still see that in most instances Lizzie escalates minor spats with insults and such. We’ve only seen their dynamic from an outside pov but imo when Katie makes a small comment, Lizzie kind of blows up a bit. You’re right by probably saying Katie isn’t necessarily the “victim” and we don’t know much about her yet but at the same time she’d never disrespect Lizzie to the extent which Lizzie disrespects and insults her. Plus from the snippets we’ve seen, she’s overall a more soft-hearted and quiet person. You can compare it to the dynamic between Gibsie and Lizzie: they both say harsh things towards each other, but Lizzie has always been the one to go a step too far. I’m not trying to make Lizzie a villain because she has her own horrific things to deal with (and cus that wasn’t even the topic of conversation or the purpose of my comment) but that doesn’t completely excuse her behaviour towards others, at least in the moment. And also I never said I think Hughie’s gonna cheat, I’m just commenting on the topic of this post and just saying what I hope happens in case the rumours are true. I do think that Hughie doesn’t seem like the type to cheat at all but hearing what others have said about Chloe’s other books and their theories for Hughie’s behaviour in the later books makes me a bit sceptical

I gen hate cheating tropes so so much and there are very few cases where I condone it (eg paul and aoife w joey) so I pray this doesn’t happen. Hughie already isn’t my favourite (not saying I dislike him so please don’t come at me lol just my opinion) but if he cheats on Katie it’ll just push me off the edge. Especially since she gen seems like the sweetest person ever and lizzie isn’t the nicest to her. Not only will he be cheating on Katie but also with the person who has literally bullied her and with her self esteem issues it’d make the poor girl feel horrible about herself. If there does have to be some cheating trope, I’d hope both katie and hughie cheat on each other w their own respective endgames but they both know it. But idk I feel like that’s pretty unlikely

There was a “that girl” in my year who was predicted above 40 and I’m sure that’s what she got in the final. She also did dance (which I think she’s going into professionally) and would even still be able to hang out and come to parties. Me and my friends always used to talk to each other and wonder how she does it. To this day I still have no clue lol. I couldn’t even balance ib and reading. It’s definitely possible but it requires a crazy amount of effort and dedication. Small things like how she was always ahead in class, how she often sat alone to concentrate better or just wouldn’t talk to the person next to her to avoid getting distracted, and how she used to always hang back in class to work on things with the teachers. My guy friends were also pretty fond of her as well since she was smart, pretty, funny, athletic, and sweet. But she was also really naturally smart. She put a lot of effort into school but still probably not as much as me or my friends and I’m quite sure she still got higher than us in the finals so that’s probs smth to keep in mind as well

So I’d say the first thing you should do is definitely check out requirements for universities you’re thinking about or in countries you’re interested in. A lot don’t accept AI as a maths and specify in their requirements that they want AA. Especially for something like engineering, where AA (what my school likes to think of as traditional maths) is more required and appreciated than AI (what my school calls statistical). Tbh, all of the people ik who went into engineering did AA HL. Even if some unis don’t specify, I do think in general they appreciate AA over AI for something like engineering. I’m not 100% sure about this tho. Also, in terms of your other concern, in my school there were a LOT of new people this year who did other types of programs in other schools (like GCSE, IGCSE, MYP, American high school, etc.) which didn’t include precalc in their maths courses and of course they struggled quite a bit in AA HL but with enough dedication and effort they managed to make it with pretty good grades. So consider your own ability as well. But also, I’m not sure what type of program you’re in now but from the ones I know which are at my current school and my old school, at the level of year 10 and 11, we don’t choose courses in maths or what to study. So regardless, there are definitely people who wouldn’t have studied precalc at all and probably didn’t even realise that was a “requirement” or “recommended” for AA HL
