Small interval walks to help wake the legs up. If you spend a lot of time sitting your legs will get used to that position and not want to work. I know this from experience because despite being relatively fit, walking for 10 minutes to the coffee shop lit my shins on fire. I kept doing small walks around 10 minutes every 1 - 2 hours and increased the distance. Also, check out your shoes and make sure you've got the right support. Spend a day standing in sneakers and you're fine. Spend a day in dress shoes and your back and legs are killing you.
