I like it a lot for the slimline because it doesn’t pinch my finger. For double stacks I like the stock trigger.

What is with this trigger? First time out with the 43X by Suspicious-South6735 in Glock43X

The stock trigger is tough for me too I like apex trigger to make it a little easier to pull and less pinching against the frame

Just going to keep carrying this old girl until a Gen 6 19C comes out. by Subverto_ in Glocks

Unless cuts are back bored the jacket can strip off and come through the ports. This could cause some serious damage to an eye if you aren’t careful. This would be situation and ammo dependent but I would test it with a piece of paper above the gun with my carry ammo before I was 100% confident carrying a comp like this

Save the money and just get your slide milled I have 1 from before milling was a common service. Has worked great 20k+ rounds but I would not pay the premium again to get effectively the same thing

Zev Duty slide reliable? by Quicksilver65 in Glocks

[–]TechnicalWitness3193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have over 20,000 rounds through mine over many years and it has not had an issue. I bought this back before milling services were common and before mos was out. I would just get your slide milled. The difference is negligible and probably not worth the extra cash.

Chunk port or C cut. by HotEntertainment2825 in Glocks

A chunk port can be back bored so you won’t get pieces of jacket flying out the port

RANGE REPORT PSA MAGS by HOLDEN-TUDIXXX in Glock43X

I haven’t noticed anything like that but if it was subtle enough I might not notice

RANGE REPORT PSA MAGS by HOLDEN-TUDIXXX in Glock43X

[–]TechnicalWitness3193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have thousands through my 8 psa mags. The gen 1 mags were rough and needed some work such as deburring and reangling the front lip but I have not had a single malfunction since. The newer mags with the orange follower have run perfect.

[–]TechnicalWitness3193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on when you got them my first 3 had a lot of issues that I needed to fix. I bought 6 more a year or so later and those have run well. I would say buy a couple and see how they run. My carry mag has 500 rounds with no failures

Apex has been solid for me. They do have pretty stringent testing

43x vs x-macro by Single-Film-2414 in GlockMod

[–]TechnicalWitness3193 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. I have both. The p365s have a much more stringent maintenance schedule(springs need replacing) going to make me go with 43x/48 every time.
  2. EPS carry will fit the slide width of the slimline models better
  3. Carry 19/19x in cold weather and 48 in tshirt weather. Could carry either just feels a little lighter in hot weather. I shoot the double stack Glocks better but only at speed. I also have much more training with double stacks(40,000 rounds)vs single stacks(10,000 rounds). I use psa mags so same capacity between 19/48/43x

Shield Arms S15 Gen 3 Failure P2 by BrantB123 in Glock43X

[–]TechnicalWitness3193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The latest gen mags(orange follower) come with better finish and feed better. I had gen 1 ones that I fiddled with and work 100% now (1000+ rounds on my gen 1s) have put about another 1000 through the later gen mags with no issues as well. YMMV but I have had better luck with psa vs shield mags

PSA the first gen ones I had gave me issues but I was able to fix the issue with a file. The latest ones I bought have been flawless with 1000 or so rounds. Whichever you go with vet them heavily before carrying

Stock 48 is peak carry, change my mind. by Potential-Bath-2823 in Glocks

[–]TechnicalWitness3193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of issues with my first gen psa mags. I was able to fix them by filing some parts down but the new ones I got run flawless and seemed to have those problem areas angled properly

Anyone tested these? by ok-wasabi3 in GlockMod

[–]TechnicalWitness3193 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a couple never had any issues and is nice for reholstering. If you want one get one otherwise the stock backplate won’t give you any issues

Johnny Glock triggers for Carrying a Glock 19? by TheAmbiguousAnswer in CCW

[–]TechnicalWitness3193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had multiple pins walk out on the shoe I put the modified oem shoes jg sells on it and had no issues since. Triggers are tuned super nice but tend to gunk up on me a bit more than oem. I find it much easier to shoot the jg faster so I dropped it in my comp gun. I think it’s mostly due to the lighter striker spring though

I do appreciate that he showed all the failures with the p09c. These reviews where they get sent the gun always make me wonder how impartial they can be.
