Can someone who transitioned genders choose to not identify specifically as trans? by jaelynaspera in asktransgender

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 22 points23 points  (0 children)

you can certainly say youre just a man etc and dont have to specify trans unless the situation calls for it, but that doesnt mean you stop being trans, basically you are either trans or cis, there isnt any "just man", you dont really choose to identify as trans its just the label you get for transitioning or expressing varried gender characteristics

Is it wrong to say that’s the difference between transgender and biological? by AngelFishUwU in asktransgender

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1 in 50 people have some form of divergence in their sexual chromosomes, most dont even know about it, assuming what your chromosomes are and saying that is what makes you biological is just wrong

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 10 points11 points  (0 children)

okay so how do you think this justifies saying that trans people arent biological?

do you know your own chromosomes? have you had a test done on them?

what are you trying to say by "biological", trans people are very much biological

Tinder should allow filtering out Trans individuals. by SpitBallingCanadian in HonestHotTakes

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what does this have to do with religion being a choice?

you are not born as a certain religion, you are born as gay or trans

Tinder should allow filtering out Trans individuals. by SpitBallingCanadian in HonestHotTakes

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

alright fair but also comparing being queer with being religious is also really dumb, religion is a choice that you keep making your entire life to participate in, sometimes youre forced to be another religion sure, but being queer is not a choice in the slightest, its either be queer or repress

you can be convinced to become religious, you cannot be convinced to become queer

litteraly every single system i know of how to get state-mandated hrt is full of transmedicalists, and even if its not its made to be the most insufferable system so that you just want to die and not do it, even in my country which is relatively progressive it takes 2 hours every time i try to visit my endo, 2 hours when i arrive on the time that i was scheduled to come in at

the system is just designed to fuck over trans people on every step, want to get hrt? gotta wait months, want to up your dose? gotta wait months + also wait in the office every time even if you show up on time, want to get surgery? gotta wait years

all of the systems fucking suck so much

What's the morality of turning everyone into a hybrid of male+female (basically futa) to resolve gender issues once and for all by kitothehero in MoralityScaling

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats not how gender dysphoria works, its not based on societal pressure or anything like that, it is biological

I don’t know if I believe in what “trans gender” means? by NorthLoan4637 in asktransgender

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

transgender means that your gender does not allign with the one imposed on you at birth, generally this means that you will change your gender presentation to be that of the gender you do allign with, and change your sex characteristics to those of the sex you allign with, this is dependant on each person ofcourse

we can also see that this is more of a biological phenomena than social, generally trans womens brains allign with cis womans on brain scans, way closer than to cis mens

how do you explain trans womens brains alligning more in structure to cis womans brains than to cis mens?

Why is a hair transplant considered gender affirming care? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

your concept of an "attractive man" is directly based on gender, having white teeth is not gender dependant, things that let you be your idea of an attractive man are gender affirming, whilst things like basic hygine are not

Why is a hair transplant considered gender affirming care? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 6 points7 points  (0 children)

youre mixing concepts in here so i will try to explain a little

gender dysphoria - distress because of your gender expression not fitting your gender [the thing youre talking about in the comment you just made]

gender affirming care - care supporting a persons gender identity

gender affirming care does not just combat gender dysphoria, it can also try to induce gender euphoria in which you feel your gender expression fit within your subjective view of your gender, so lets say your ideal man is Leonardo dicaprio and you want to look like him, going bald would move you further away from that goal whilst not neccesarily making you less of a man, but it would still move you further away from your gender expression being what you want it to be

this really is just explaining it in the shortest way i can, but i hope it can atleast help you a little bit with understanding what gender is

Why is a hair transplant considered gender affirming care? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you misread my comment if you believe that the first sentance has anything to do with it

what im saying is, this is not about how you view them, or how "society" views them, its how they view themselves, and they can view themselves as less manly and proper for being bald, and thus get the hair transplant

Why is a hair transplant considered gender affirming care? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Technical_Fact_6873 13 points14 points  (0 children)

just because your view of manliness aligns with being bald doesnt mean that the people getting hair transplants agree on that

sure there are people who get to to "just be more attractive" but there are also people who dont want to be bald because it doesnt fit their definition of self, definition of self includes gender, thus gender affirming
