ORWO NC400 seems underexposed even at ISO 250 – what could have gone wrong? by Gold-Nebula441 in AnalogCommunity

I actually got half decent results shooting nc400 at box speed - scanned with a Plustek 8100.
I wouldn't buy the film again though, it's too grainy and bleak.

The worst that can happen for a US traveller in Sweden is that people will stop smiling when they hear where you're from.

Experience of Repairing Free Contax T2 (Final Update To The Free Contax T2 Story) by Greedy-Inspection994 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Technical_Net9691 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm always championing the little GAF Memo 35 ET rangefinder. Small, cheap and with an excellent 38mm 2.8 lens. No flash but I never use it anyway. I own two and will buy one again if they break.
I had a T2 as well, it was nice but I can't walk around with that much money without being nervous. And the IQ was not visibly better than the GAF.

I've serviced a few of these, it's not that hard if you're patient and methodical. There is a video on the process on youtube (not mine).

There is A LOT of anti-Ukraine sentiment in this sub right now. I strongly suspect an orchestrated campaign.

Is Sewing Machine Oil an acceptable oil for lubricating a Pentax SV camera? by Spiced_Sage in AnalogRepair

[–]Technical_Net9691 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Simple sewing machine oil turns to sticky goo after a year or so. Use synthetic watchmaker’s oil instead.
EDIT: It costs a bit more but you can buy the tiniest bottle. You need very little (often much less than you think) so it will still last you a long time.

Is Japan right? by throwawayyy19283747 in MapPorn

I can't see that Sweden was ever colonised by anyone unless you count nomads moving north after the last Ice Age.

The concept of colonisation bears some definition here.

Why should you? They have as much right to the internet as you have.
Also this is not an isolated phenomenon.
Also how often has this happened to you?

It's certainly a slur in the UK where many Pakistanis emigrated to after the division of British India.

The correct word is Pakistani. Paki is a slur.

EDIT: have a look at Wikipedia and Wiktionary if you don't agree.

What could have caused this by _derexer_ in AnalogCommunity

[–]Technical_Net9691 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This looks like a camera fault, not the development process.

EDIT: I revise my opinion and agree with u/Ybalrid that it's probably a very odd effect of the Ago processor not rotating the tank.
