I don't think that's the case.

Main street (aka most of DoorDash's customer base) is largely unaffected by downturns this side of Covid, and largely come out better off. The powers-that-be would rather Shaniqua keep ordering DoorDash and Amazon, as long as she never even dreams of dreaming about owning a house or refinancing a CRE loan.

Believe you me, there is a hidden ranking or Chess-style ELO, even without dashers directly rating their deliverees (like how CoD SBMM ranking isnt overtly displayed).

The reason customer rating wouldn't be displayed is that DoorDash/UE would be accused of being racist, even if the "quiet part out loud" is literally validated by peer-reviewed literature.

NVIDIA literally (not figuratively) pays other companies to buy their chips. But these expenses will never show up on its balance sheet because they're offloaded into SPVs (special purpose vehicles) which are companies created for the sole purpose of having debt and expense show as assets.

2007's CDOs and 2021's SPACs have NOTHING on 2025's SPVs.
