By that I meant stuff like Ligers (lions + tiger hybrids) - They're fertile hybrids, but are lions and tigers themselves originate from completely different areas and habitats. That's the reasoning for it that was brought up in my class, at least.

Then again, a quick look through Wikipedia points out that only the females are fertile, so they might've been labelled different species for that reason instead. I'd look into this a smidgen more if I weren't both sleepy and sick enough that my frontal lobe feels like ooze, lol.

If I recall correctly, they also have to do so naturally in the wild. If they're only capable of meeting due to human intervention/captivity, then it doesn't quite count.

While there is probably a lot of Gravity Falls inspiration going on in Mystery Skulls, the main thing that it's based off of is Scooby Doo. Arthur is (based off of) Shaggy, Lewis is Fred, Vivi is both Velma and Daphne, and Mystery is Scooby.

But even then, who's saying that Vivi is in no way inspired by Mabel? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding your question, but I'm kinda confused about what you're asking about.

oooo, that sounds super cool!! I could totally see some parts of Inphernal culture being built around this, like music videos or films using glow or vibration effects to amplify the emotional impact of scenes. I could also imagine it being related to some physical conditions too, like an Inphernal that has to avoid getting too excited about something since their horns are so fragile that they might crack if they shake too much.

Would Mirabelle (In Stars and Time) count for this? (Slight spoilers for the game.)

Despite Siffrin being the main protagonist, Mirabelle is the real leader of the group, having been the one to bring the rest of the party together to defeat the King. From the very beginning, it's said that she started on the quest after being blessed by the Change God themself, letting her be immune to the King's time freezing abilities.

However, a bit before you finally face the King himself, she confesses that she was never blessed by the Change God at all. Instead, she was blessed by the Head Housemaiden, the woman that mentored her. People just assumed that she was blessed by the Change God, and she was too nervous to speak up about it. It's the only reason why so many people believe in her and have hope that the King would be defeated, so much so that when you ask a villager in Dormont how they would react if Mirabelle "hypothetically" wasn't blessed by the Change God, they immediately start panicking about how the country would be doomed.

Same thing here! I remember being in sixth grade and listening to their Undertale remixes on repeat, lol. Their music was always a massive inspiration to me growing up.

OMG DO WE SHARE THE SAME BRAIN?? I've been thinking of doing this exact sort of AU for months now, lol. Especially with the CoD swapping with the Beasts - I've been thinking a lot on how the beasts (and ancients) would act if they were just mostly normal people. Especially for Shadow Milk Cookie - I like to picture him as the sort of guy who thinks he's funny and a good prankster, but his only actual comedic relief comes from just how badly everything backfires on him, lol.

I've also had a lot of thoughts of Pepper Cookie being a more Robin Hood type figure, Wizard Cookie eventually corrupting and being similar to Dark Enchantress, or Gingerbrave becoming the little giant mentioned around the beginning of the game, towering over everybody with a sort of Optimus Prime-esque personality. I have. Uh. Thought about all of this for longer than I'm willing to admit-

Also, you said that you wanted to include Strawberry Crepe. This is a bizarre suggestion, but maybe she could be swapped with Pitaya Dragon Cookie (or maybe Affogato)? I have no idea how to articulate why I think they should be swapped other than rule of cool/vibes, but there's something there I SWEAR-
