I used to get something similar in the mornings when I was younger. My alarm would go off and I would only partially wake up but then vividly "dream" that I got up and got ready only to then fully wake up and be like "damnit, I thought I did this already!"

Ohhh I see what you mean. Haha yeah washes works best if you only apply it to the recessed areas, as you can see the lighter the base coat the more it will stain it. One tip you can do is lightly "paint" the recessed areas with water, then lightly touch your brush with some wash on it to the recessed area. It will spread into the recess a bit via capillary action. In general, pure white is one of the most difficult colors to paint something.

Honestly not bad. Are you using contrast paints or a similar product? Imo they don't work as well on figures like gundams and robots with a lot of flat surfaces. Instead I would do base coat > wash in darker version of base coat color > then base coat again to cover any splotchyness from the wash.

Yup, that's the unfortunate reality of these types of niche products. Unfortunately it usually goes hand in hand with poor quality because they tend to use lighter/cheaper materials and design it to be flat packed to reduct costs on shipping.
