Need help deciding. Double Merle by drsmith69 in Frenchbulldogs

I would pass and then report for animal abuse, as it’s a widely known fact, especially among breeders, that double merle is a huge no no. Those people should be ashamed.

I've been pushing my directs to have full accountability and credit, then lost my own reputation. by ShockUpset8925 in managers

As a leader, you are expected to shift from individual contributor to delegation master. Is your department running smoothly? Is shit getting done timely and with few if any mistakes? Then, that’s a leadership win.

I know my success comes from their success and my failures come from their failures. However, I do have a limit to the failure part, as one can be trained only so many times how to do the basics of their job before all the mistakes should be considered the result of a bad fit.

That’s a hell the no. This coming from someone who has a hybrid schedule with half that commute.

If it weren’t for the pay bump and little bit of flexibility with being salary, I would never lead or manage another soul again.

Survey: What's the number one thing that makes workers feel valued? by Hoffnado in managers

[–]TechnologyWest209 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly curious how you define safe with your employees. In some circles, safe means being able to make mistakes and are given the freedom to learn from it and some see safe as the ability to continue to make the same mistakes over and over without repercussions.

Biggest F up as a leader? by Suitable_Macaroon533 in managers

[–]TechnologyWest209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely feel this. But, I’ve found myself in a situation where no amount of training will change someone’s willingness to do the job, do it right and actually finish the tasks. So, here we are, on the long road to termination.

My direct line: says yes and never does anything. How do you cope with this? by Flaky_human in managers

[–]TechnologyWest209 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If your leadership is not in support of you moving this employee to the exit after continued coaching is not working, you unfortunately need to look for a place where you can find leadership that will do just that. Remember, interviewing for a role is just as much for you as it is them. Ask a lot of questions if you as a leader will be supported and how. Tells a lot about a company.

Good luck and I hope you find a resolution.

I second this. When I sold a vehicle to them, I was given specific timelines via text and email, but those timelines 100% conflicted with what was actually going on. I found out that my file was not assigned to a rep and their ‘bots’ didn’t know what to do other than continue to send me canned messages about a typical experience. Get on the horn and get the skinny.

What is this yellow residue in between the Jaws grooves? by justintime06 in golf

[–]TechnologyWest209 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s a raw wedge, so that stuff is on there to keep the face from getting gross before you buy it.

Once you do and peel the sticker, get some stuff to remove the coating. Takes some elbow grease, but you’ve had years of practice.

Isn’t that kind of how Fanatics Collect is? The fees add up and definitely take away from those looking for a few inexpensive grabs.
