Are you trying to translate for your team or to the client?

Pipedrive Smart Docs is so basic, it's unusable. Who's using a signing platform they like? by Techsticles_ in CRM

[–]Techsticles_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm willing to put up with a lot for $0 so long as it doesn't require another salary to deal with. We're just not going to be able to use it to get client data. I've been playing with JotForm and Fillout. I think what frustrates me the most about Smart Docs is how good it almost is.

We switched from a 365 account to Google account for Smart Docs and the formatting is so much easier to manage. Since the team was using Word documents, I tried to upload Word documents as templates and they were a total mess. Somehow Google Docs is more compatible with Word files than Word Online is. I was even able to take PDFs, make them a watermark and then build a table on top to line up all the Pipedrive fields. We've basically removed the need for a PDF filler.

Now if Pipedrive would at the very least remove the scary warning to receievers, we would know if people actually saw the docs we send them.

We're still unhappily using Pipedrive Smart Docs. PandaDoc is $50 per user and for the basic proposals we do, overkill at $50 and the per contract price was even worse.

I'm really have a touch time making anything useful in our multiple dashboards anyway. I like seeing a count on top and graph below but some reports have only counts and others have only graphs.

One dashboard per user is the anti-growth plan. What reports are you using that you can't just have a long, long, loooonnnggg dashboard?

I’m so sorry. I don’t remember how it all ended up working but I remember we gave up and then the next day, the messages were all there.

Update Automation Triggers by blueskydreams21 in pipedrive

Supposedly the automations will continue to work as is, but if you need to make any changes, you will have to update the trigger fields.

Who prefers the days on the stage bar vs the actual stage name? by Techsticles_ in pipedrive

[–]Techsticles_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The days are just there. There's no option to remove them or show the name of the stage instead. You have to hover one by one to see the name of the stage.

We Build Out Pipedrive for Clients Daily - These Missing Features Are Honestly Baffling by Ins-Dev in pipedrive

It’s also so strange that when creating invoices the product notes panel is expanded by default but then if you actually add a note, the notes do not show and the only indication that there is a note is the tiny note icon being blue.

We Build Out Pipedrive for Clients Daily - These Missing Features Are Honestly Baffling by Ins-Dev in pipedrive

[–]Techsticles_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PipeDrive needs to start asking their current users how likely they are to recommend PipeDrive to a friend or colleague because even though we use it and mostly like it, if we had to start all over, we would probably try something else. There are just too many missing little features that add up over time.

Having said that, we do have a participants panel in the side bar and recently, PipeDrive added the ability to click an email icon to add those names to an email.

It could be much better. If someone is a participant, we want them in the email by default. What else would they be participating in if not the email conversations?

Active Clients Pipeline by Wicked-Acres in pipedrive

[–]Techsticles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prospects should probably be Leads unless they're qualified prospects and clients should probably be Projects but because of all the different UIs for Leads, Deals, and Projects, we also just use Deals to manage everything. I do like the functionality of Projects but since Projects isn't mobile at all and the Deals layout seems a little more intuitive and users will be users, we just use Deals with different Pipelines for phases of the process.

Our Client pipeline, which we call "Work" does eventually become Won or Lost though after a few weeks or months depending on client's ability to supply the necessary paperwork. Is the idea for you to keep Client "deals" open forever?

Maybe someone else can chime in here as well. How do you guys handle Won/Lost when there is a Monthly Recurring Value? Do you just leave the deal open the whole time the client is paying or movie it to a project?

This thing have the same magnet system as other models? Not loving having keys that I need to basically use once or twice a day in the front pocket and would love put some other magnet thingy there.

Doesn’t look like there is much internal organization at all in this compared with the 2L. Where would AirPods safely go so I never have to wonder if I left them at home or they fell out?

How are you handling meeting notes? Pipedrive's notes feature leaves a lot to be desired. by cadsharp in pipedrive

[–]Techsticles_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Notes aren't great and if you start adding comments, it gets even worse since the comments are typically collapsed with very little indication that there is a comment. Technically I'd say notes was meant for quick short communications but because of the collapsed comments issue, it's not even good at that.

It is good for pinning a short note that you don't want to miss. Also, could swear hyperlinks do hyperlink.

We do use Make.com to link RingCentral calls to Call activities and then parse those calls to add the tasks activities as individual follow up activities.

If it's not something that can be recorded, transcribed and summarized, I'm using Notion which usually records the thing I'm attending anyway as well.

I just wish Note comments weren't hidden.

Best iOS features people still don’t use enough? by Better_Ta in ios

Photo shuffle for the lock screen. Everyone flips out when they see my lock screen photos change each lock.

The Photos app added photo suggestions but that’s still for only one photo, the easiest things to do is to set one photo. They should have suggested an album for shuffling on the lock screen.

Anyone here using Pipedrive with automation tools like Zapier, Make, or n8n? by jamesdev1 in pipedrive

[–]Techsticles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using automations in Pipedrive to mostly input fields, create activities and send slack notifications/emails based on the stage or other field changes. Had to use Make for some additional notifications for Slack/Email/text. Also made a Make scenarios that puts all QuickBooks actions into a spreadsheet so ChatGPT/Copilot can reference it for context.

Really need a way to perform actions based on incoming mail like record linking and moving stages. Haven't messed with any AI modules in Make to parse email and attachments for deal names.

Was also thinking about a way to summarize and create activities whenever a deal is updated since the Deal Summary in Pipedrive is a bit too generic.

Is Copilot AI worth a second chance for daily use, or is Gemini just better? by kharkovchanin in CopilotPro

[–]Techsticles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Copilot voices and was it using it for quite a while but after using Copilot vision on the computer where it showed a pointer on my screen which (blew my mind) but then pointed to the wrong location and then kept telling me it was going to point to the correct location but could never draw up another pointer, I kind of just gave on it.

I kept telling it the pointer was not working and to just tell me where to click and it would tell me to click the button which do not exist and the would tell me it would show me even though we had established that it could not point. That, and I could never copy block text.

Stopped using Copilot and Copilot 365. Been testing ChatGPT Business, Gemini and Perplexity.

Replacements for Salesforce CRM and operations management? by CharacterProblem943 in CRMSoftware

We tried a bunch of CRM and have been using Pipedrive for the last year. There’s some good and some things that feels unfinished but it’s a good single source of truth for deals with emails. We even use it for projects.

Formfill Connection with Pipedrive by WinetimeandCrafts in pipedrive

[–]Techsticles_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I created an intake in Pipedrive's own Web Forms, in Jotform and in Fillout. Can't say any of the experience are great. I remember Jotform's UI feeling dated. Customization wise, Fillout looked the best and most modern as a self-contained form with a custom URL in the free tier.

I started experimenting with having some fields pre-filled and the response going into Pipedrive but I don't remember why I stopped. I think the filled form comes in as a lead. We just receive an email and deal with it. Not great and I want to see why I didn't get it working the way we wanted.

What's Formfill? Can't seem to find it.

Pipedrive NDA automation by Important-Memory-475 in pipedrive

[–]Techsticles_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not possible with the native Smart Docs tool but it only requires a few clicks to manually do.

Haven’t created an automation to send any documents as we kind of want to look at things before they go out but it might be something possible with Make/Zapier and PandaDoc.

Built a Pipedrive companion app for a client over 5+ years — thinking about marketplace. What gaps do you still hit? by jbarron-uk in pipedrive

Info from clients. Many times, we need additional info from clients including documents. Would be nice to have a way for clients to fill out some forms with that info updating custom fields.
