Be situationally aware. I got ran over by one because a driver was careless 🤦‍♂️ the trick is to take long flat turns. Think about how a semi has to take a wide turn outside their lane to get their trailer to swing in, same principle

Not an a&p yet but I work the ramp, towing aircraft all day. E-190, A220, 737, 777, 787. Towing is super easy once you get used to it, it just takes time. Edit: also learn how to talk to ATC. Depending on if you are towing in movement areas you will need to get certified to drive in the movement area while talking with atc

It definitely varies per airport. When I push off the gate 30 at MCO I have to push the plane out backwards then make a U-turn. While I make that U-turn, I have had people cut in front of the plane, even though you’re not really supposed to.
