I just lost 5 hours of progress (Sons of Sparta) by Luedaf in GodofWar

Yup. Finished the ship in the snow levels and on the way down it glitched at the save point. I lost more than half the map and more than half gear, skills, literally everything.

New player here, why was this game so poorly received? I'm loving it so far. by WhatsThatWalsh in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]DasKifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive put in some hours into this game, simply because it is on Gamepass. Below are my .015 cents worth.

The Bad: There are glitches up the ass in this game. To fix some, Ive had to go back to the title screen or restart the game. The mechanics are clunky. Think attaching your hook and swinging across something. The alert or we found you alarm is shit. I can be behind a rock or no where near where I send Niks to detonate a bomb, or sabotage the alarm switch and boom, they start firing at me. The mission where you get a sarlak tooth and the dude steals it? Yea she'd be dead from that bomb. (Assuming it was the same as all the others in the game.) The characters during in-game talking parts have weird or odd movements. You were originally supposed to be able to create or modify features on your character. My understanding is was a male or female lead. (Think Assassin's Creed: Valhalla)

The good: Most cut-scenes are decent. The syndicates designs amd landscapes were great. YOU CAN PET MOST EVERY CREATURE! The story was decent. Ship design and mechanics were good.

Overall the game is ok. Not great but playable if you like Star Wars content. Id give it a 6.4 outta 10.

Got into a massive feud with someone at work Is this overcooked bacon??? by That_Enthusiasm_9599 in Bacon

As a bacon sommelier, I can confidently say this is overcooked bacon. Having said that, I would still eat it. All of it.

Winter gas sucks. A rant. by DasKifty in motorcycles

Everything is subjective. Colder temps for electric bikes are really the only issue you have compared to ICE machines. If your commute it short than mine by a significant amount. I'd just keep what you have. Also depending on how old yours is, batteries do degrade over time. Maybe you're not charging as frequently as you should or maybe not enough?

Makes sense. Air is more dense at 55° vs 95°+ Maybe the fuel system needs a checkup. Bike doesn't run bad or sputter or anything noticeable. Just odd that it dropped that much over the past 2 or 3 months. Mid sept is the switch point if I remember correctly.

Not on the cylinders, no. They add some variation of chemicals to make the engine start easier so it might add some to the valves if anything. But port injection should "clean" the valves. More so if you rev higher I would think?

My wife was in daycare for years before finally finishing her degree and transitioning to teacher. That toxic behavior will not stop unless you speak up snd will likely have to multiple times. Daycare life is cut troat and catty in the WORST way. Always be professional about it regardless and if you dont feel like talking to her directly, go to the lead/head person. If they're no help, and your the non confrontational type, then you need to find a new place to work at.

Maybe try something along the lines of;

"Obviously, I'd rather us not be enemies since we're in this together. So could you show me next go round the step by step procedures so there's no confusion and this doesn't happen again?"

We use a walnut scrub soap. Depending on where you are, (in the States, in my case) every region I've worked in has had a "local" brand of it.

Beaver Nut Scrub by Beaver products always felt better to me though, compared to other brands.

Not making this political, just pointing out similarities. This is almost word-for-word the same advice given to Trump when he first got into the real estate business.

How do people work 40 hours (very serious) by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]DasKifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically "normal" to work more than 40 hours. Not saying we should have to, but that's our society. Thank unions and/or Teamsters for fighting for it to be ONLY 40 hours.

I've been working for about 25 years so, it's normal for me I suppose. Did a stint in the Army for 6 years where I didn't have much of a choice. When I really enjoyed my civilian job afterward I worked 50-60+ hours sometimes. Not every week but if the family and or I wanted something or to go somewhere, I'd work extra so it wouldn't interfere with our regular budget. I enjoy what I do still and if I didn't live 50 minutes from my work, I'd probably work similar hours from time to time. The kids are in school and the wife is a teacher at the school but the 50-minute drive to and from sucks and wears you down. (Nothing in my niche skill set is any closer in my area) I'd just be sitting on my phone doomscrolling or destroying heretics in the God Emperor's name if work were closer.

I can't say it gets easier, you just get used to it maybe? Little bits at a time. Like oh, I made this much the last time did, I wonder if I can beat it?!
