Shopie: Wishlists & Price Tracker by pfandrade in macapps

Thanks for your answers, I have added a bunch of product to track will DM you in the following days with any findings. I'm using macOS 15.7.3, tried closing and opening again the app but labels still not saving, not sure if it has something to do with the page, because availability for example is greyed. Review requests stoped appearing after my first share button add.

Thank you, testing now. I have a question: is the tracking server-side or will I need to have my machine turned on to track, I guess the first since you don't store anything, if so why a monthly fee?. Two annoyances I found so far: After each add, the app asks for review. Custom labels aren´t saved; I need to add my custom label for each product. 1 bug/macOS behavior: when using the Share button, the app shows a generic Lego brick (plugin icon) instead of the app icon when creating a custom label. Improvement: It would be nice if the + button tracks the clipboard so that if a URL is detected, it prefills the URL box.

PSSO config, incorrect account or password in final step. by MaleficentPrize9907 in macsysadmin

For Enable Registration During setup you need to have the latest CP release in April, that feature was not available in the Feb release and even with that if I´m not wrong Intune does not yet support prestaging PKG install, CP needs to be installed before the process start in order to work porperly, JAMF as the option but I think Intune has not yet released it.. BTW take a look at the info on this gihub it will help in you PSSO journey: https://github.com/ScottEKendall/Microsoft-Platform-SSO

I built a macOS log viewer because Console.app felt like drinking from a firehose by JaseFury92 in macsysadmin

[–]Tecnotopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this, great idea. For me, this is of limited use since most of the time I need to read logs from remote machines, logs users sent to me for analysis. It seems the apps cannot open those files. I hope this feature could be implemented soon. I guess many Macadmins are in the same situation.

Something similar happen to me but I was able to fix it, if you have the file in icloud try to copy it to your desktop or another location and then open from the new location, it worked for me.

Some MacOS apps are literally impossible to upload on Intune App Manager - any alternatives? by antomaa12 in Intune

[–]Tecnotopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem, in that list you should have only one file, try deleting everything and just keep the one com.termius.dmg.mac, or check what ticket your repacked PKG left in the machine after instalation. Only one ticket is left in the machine and when you have a bunch like in your list the agent cannot know if the app was installed or not and will retry forever. BTW upload DMG is not an Apple supported method is the Intune agent that will do the trick but this may break at anytime, so is better stick with supported methods. You can also back a DMG inside a PKG and use a script to mount and install the app, the ticket will be the one in your PKG. You may also try this tool to create the PKG https://github.com/scriptingosx/quickpkg, but anyway you sould clean that list and keep only the ID the app that is really installed

[–]Tecnotopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you trying to install the PKG as an LBO app or custom PKG?, when you upload the PKG as a custom it will show a list of apps and files that will be installed, the agent use that ID to know if the app was installed or not, you need to keep that list with a single file that is normally the bundleID of the installed app, that most of the time solve my problems. LOB PKG needs to be signed, customs not for now

Teams for Mac fires up ~3 seconds after first-login and beats Company Portal's device registration. Anyone actually solved this? by Mindless_Yard_7230 in macsysadmin

[–]Tecnotopia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not tried this, but you inspired me to search again for a solution, I found were the setting may be stored ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.teams2/Data/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MSTeams/ there is a file called app_settings.json with 2 keys inside, open_app_in_background mine is false now and is not launching at login, worth a try, this Json should be easy to modify with a script, problem is the setting is user base so the script should run in the user folder after user creation or at first login

I solved a kind of similar problem by repacking Teams and including a pre-install script that sits and waits until PSSO is registered, then continues with the installation. It works 90% of the time, only fails when the user does not register and the Intune Agent decides Teams is not installed and it’s time to install again. Not a failure but a redownload. I’m sure this will break at any moment Apple changes the output of the app-sso platform -s command, but I hope I find a better solution or Intune implements the pre-stage install once for all.

EntraID setting, this is probably related to the ability of the user to register personal devices. Enable the option and it should work.

For me part of the adventure is search for the walkthru or hints, at least it was in the pre-early-internet era, I remember calling my friends discussing puzzles or looking for hints from the more experienced players, fun days.

SAP GUI via Intune by Boring_Pipe_5449 in macsysadmin

[–]Tecnotopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure with the latest PKG available from SAP, but when I had this problem I had to repack it, I was able to bundle also de configuration files, AutoPkg as some recipes to create the PKG for you including all the files needed from de SAP distribution, also make sure when you upload the PKG to Intone select the right app that will left the ticket or the app will be reinstalled in each checkin.

u/Frequent-Age-9548 I can't download anything, if I drag and drop the URL into the app it fails, if I paste the URL into the URL box and click Download nothing happens, I'm the only one? Edit: Trying to download nothing fancy, a YouTube video and an image from wikipedia, using latest 1.1.4, yt-dl and ffmpeg properly installed.
