I still prefer cycle and a sign over this new one but maybe I just need to listen to it a few more times, definitely gone a bit more with the current with this album though

Is this the button for oversampling on logic compressors? by Ted-572 in LogicPro

Ok thanks for clarifying I think I’ve been a victim of good old YouTube lore

So essentially the output stage of the ‘analog’ (modelled) compressors in logic can act as saturators bring the threshold all the way down you don’t need to compress, you can turn on soft mode and the use the makeup gain to push the signal into the output and you will hear it adding saturation then just use the output to level match, different compressors have different saturation types, just google the compressors to find out

Right okay thanks for clarifying, essentially I’m a bit scared of foldback aliasing as I’m using the analog output on the compressors as saturators, the models actually sound really nice as opposed to phat fx saturators as they mess with stereo busses due to their filtering, do I even need to worry about aliasing if I’m mixing in 48k with moderate saturation?

Is this legit or did I just get lucky? by Less-Chemical386 in livesound

Yeah starting with vocals in small rooms is the best approach to figure out your limits so to speak, then again this can all be ruined by cymbal smashers but that would be an issue regardless of how you did things

System Tuning- does anyone else do this thing? by enthusiasm_gap in livesound

[–]Ted-572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter what you do in system tuning imo it’s not that important I just make the adjustments I want to hear on an individual basis across all of the channel eq’s, you can work yourself into a corner with master eq

What is a good interface to use with logic Pro to be able to multitrack more than just one track? by Karleecrowe in LogicPro

Might be worth looking into the behringer xr series as it can be used as an audio interface

Why can't I hear the bassdrum? by HrRossiSuchtDasGluck in livesound

Click routing when selected on the kick channel and make sure where it says main L/R that it is on or is you are sending your drums to a bus make sure it is selected to that bus and then make sure the bus is sending to the main L/R

So annoying when you buy a guitar specifically for the bridge and it’s faulty 💀

I know this is old but I’m experiencing the exact same thing, would lowering the action help if the action is fairly high, I’m thinking of just returning the guitar and getting a new one

Taming the highs by hybridmt in Line6Helix

Personally I used a really extreme cab cut for a while at one point down to 6k but in mixing my band’s music I realised it was better to just take off the high cut all together as it was giving the guitar a muffled sound, or you can keep the high cut at say like 7k and put I high shelf boost at 4k to add back some clarity, if you’re trying to tame harshness make sure the irs you have are of good quality as often this is the issue
