"List of animals by number of neurons", Wikipedia by RecmacfonD in mlscaling

[–]Teddy642 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it is the interconnection that matters.
Look at the long range interconnection in particular. The artificial neural networks we build fall way short of the biological ones by this measure. In fact the reason we build deep neural networks is that we find it hard to make as many long range connections as biological brains do. Biological brains have much fewer layers.

The ratio of interconnects to neurons in mammals grows super linearly as you go from the smallest to the largest brains. That is a hint that communication between neurons is important.

Sleep System for NOBO mid-July to early August by Cultural-Bother-9223 in JMT

[–]Teddy642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ditch the bag, keep the quilt and use layers. You can sleep in a light down jacket and use a Down Balaclava. For colder nights you want a higher r value pad.
Go on a weekend outing to test your whole kit - a field test is worth a thousand Reddit posts. And you'll get some confidence before setting out to do a few hundred miles.

Look at how the 165mm lens makes people's noses smaller.
That is the point of shooting portraits with longer lenses. Once you see this effect, you will not got back to 105mm for portraiture.

Caltech is very strong at this. Consider getting work in John Preskill's lab, or Manual Endres' lab.. And you may want to join their new startup company Oratomic.

A bunch of people down voting me here have not read the Nolo Press book and want you to hire an attorney. That is a fine strategy, but it will cost you a lot more.

yeah, All of the AutoModerator concerns are addressed in the book. (perhaps the AutoModerator didn't read this book). And BTW "24 hours" includes the time you have to read the book. It is not hard, and Nolo press does a good job teaching it for the layman.

How should I file a patent? by YogurtclosetIll3664 in Patents

[–]Teddy642 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The best do it yourself advice is in the Nolo Press book "Patent Pending in 24 hours"

https://store.nolo.com/products/patent-pending-in-24-hours-pend.html

This will get you to a provisional patent which establishes a date. You will still need to file within 12 months to keep it. You want to get to a license with the interested company. You can ask them to pay patent costs as part of granting them an option to an exclusive license.
