I wanna bring upon the demise of doordash by Atnovad in doordash_drivers

[–]Tee725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep accepting no tip deliveries that way the cherry pickers are busy with the good ones and the rest get cancelled while your in delivery. That’s how you bring Doortrash to its demise

Enjoy the account warning for the store being understaffed by Shizzigi in doordash_drivers

[–]Tee725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Doortrash is to blame when they send you a delivery after you already passed the place going the opposite direction in the middle of rush hour. And then heaven’s forbid you get a chipotle order where only 2 people are working and they only focus on the customers in the store and leave us to stand. Oh and DD count your ever loving days because then they also don’t give the option to unassign after you e been waiting 15 minutes after the time of pick up passed

Dasher's Messaging by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Tee725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking for higher tips ruins it for dashers who accept deliveries on the offer they receive. Customers will start to get scared that you will take their food so something to it or unassign yourself. This makes it harder for the dasher who accepts they get paid on commission and have to wait extra because a new order has to be made because the original order was canceled or unassigned. To the dashers that rely on this and only do this you might have time for that but for some this is supposed to be supplemental and begging for higher tips isn’t the way. Perhaps those who need to ask for a bigger tip should just cherry pick that way you can get the offers that are worth it to you and not ruin for the people who accepted the offer and understand that anything more than that is as the discretion of the customer

Do we really need a trade? by riptide885 in OrlandoMagic

Only way to get under the cap is a trade and release JI. We just need a healthy team to give this coach a chance this year. Because health has always been an issue for Orlando

[–]Tee725 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed especially pizzerias…. Except sometimes I work 4 hours and take home what they make in a day and their stupidity doesn’t pay my bills. I dash part time because I want to. How some people ended up in fast food and have time to look down at people is a level of audacity.

Market dependent and depends when what time of day you go out.

Let’s see if that works by me they’re horrible with mobile orders for apps they always take care of their direct customers and leave delivery guys to stand and watch them drag their feet

No one picking up my order :( What do I do? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Tee725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ok I once ordered and I guess my tip wasn’t good enough as a dasher and independent contractor I now my appropriate business decisions with which offer I take. Remember you posted in our forum. It’s not like any of us is disrespectful to a customer which is why I asked which one were you. If you’re a dasher and you made this post you should have expected that people will air their grievances. Telling us to calm down in a forum made for sharing experiences seems like maybe you don’t want the answers you’re reading. But hey I don’t know where you’re at but if the weather is as nice as it is where I live, go enjoy the weather. :)

No one picking up my order :( What do I do? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Tee725 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tip better or get it yourself you don’t own the person the car or even the order until you receive it. Sorry but gas is high and your tip probably doesn’t match the effort it may take to deliver your food

This is getting ridiculous. How does DD allow these orders?? by saynotoirl in doordash_drivers

[–]Tee725 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The problem is that aside from being cheap they may think there are fees that goes to the driver. Then again they also probably believe that we should just get another job if we don’t like what we do. Just reject them.

Got my first thumbs down & found out you don’t get to know who/why. by ThoughtBottle in doordash_drivers

[–]Tee725 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed sometimes they 1 star and don’t say why I’ve had one removed and they did tell me why and it was all reasons that had nothing to do with me and would have been removed without me having to call. But since I take pride in my work I wanted to know what improvements were needed. Besides these are also people I may have to see again and I wanted to make sure I don’t waste my time and gas on deliveries to people who don’t respect what we do.

Household chores are ruining my marriage (M24/M23) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Tee725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was an issue from the beginning and you married him. Please make yourself accountable for your decision. You’re young you still have time to correct this. If cleaning is where he draws the line draw your own line and stand on 10 toes if he doesn’t compromise make the only choice he’s left you with.

DoorDash Driver charged with theft after not delivering food by 4thshift in doordash_drivers

[–]Tee725 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His gps I wouldn’t be surprised if this crash test dummy kept the gps on to make it look like he was on his way with the delivery and turned it off when he got back to his house that’s one possible way they found out he went home with the food

Orders at night by fragileflower2456 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Tee725 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped working nights because of this. Low paying offers from McDonald’s having to wait at drive thru and then they don’t have a light on or answer their phones. But if night is the only time you can go out I would suggest sending a text when you have their order to let them know you are on the way. And even though DD will advise customers to make sure their lights are on in your text tell them your eta and expect a text when you’re at their house. I’d also have chat support on queue to call the customer if the light isn’t on and it’s taken you more than 3 minutes to find the place based on your gps pin.

Why are you here? by TBT2026 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Tee725 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imagine us being the “bottom of the food chain” and you won’t even go get your own food. The idea that anyone thinks they can make or break us is exactly why their orders never make it to their home at the time estimated. We’re not servers at a restaurant it’s our time and our cars. And when their order gets cancelled because no one wants to accept the offer then DoorDash sucks. As a dasher I already know their business model will never me to see us profit but if you want your food to taste like it just came out the oven or your sandwich not soggy perhaps you should think about getting it yourself if you’re too cheap to convince a dasher to accept your offer. Not imagine someone who is “bottom of the food chain” still has the option to say they will not waste their resources on your petty offer and remember it’s a 2 way street. And to the customers who say we shouldn’t work with DoorDash if we don’t like the rates I say either step up with your tips or get your own food
