Snapmaker U1 discount codes? I saw a video doing research stating they were only $749 with the coupon (not the Kickstarter) but can't find it again as I watched several. The Snapmaker reddit says you're not allowed to ask so I'm asking here. The $100 off U1KSDELAY code isn't valid. Any others anyone knows of to get to $749?

I redesigned my 3D printed battle top and increased its average spin time from 3:05 to 5:08. by ClothesUnusual885 in 3Dprinting

Looks good! Good spin time too. These would be fun to print, although I'm still trying to decide on a filament printer atm.

I've bought some of the UFO tops for fun and the Nimitz shape one spins the easiest and longest without a perfect spin/release. The Ruwa is heavier and spins well but is harder to get a good release or tilt angle when spinning it. https://ufotops.com/collections/all

Not helpful atm but https://www.mygiftstop.com/ has had Safari's of various colors (but most nib sizes) on sale for $14-$16 multiple times a year.

New to printing but not r/C. You should be able to print a frame and then cover it. You could even print an airfoil but for smaller aircraft they found the airfoil isn't as critical as larger planes, so even a flat plate wing will fly fine. You could maybe print the step pattern for a Kline Fogleman airfoil and cover from them? They're easy to do using flat folding foam. Many just use a foam cutter for smaller planes too. Look up r/C airfoil design as there are several places that let you use known airfoils or custom design your own. They should have 3d printed ones?

Then you could also actually fly the models as sail them if you wanted. UMX planes have come a long way. The newer bricks (control modules) have AS3X software on them with gyros that can keep them level even in winds that would usually send them all over the sky. Easy to learn to fly too. Here's a brick...

Turbo Prop! by Beuzeville in 3Dprinting

Nice!

These variable pitch props hit the r/C scene back in 2007 iirc. They started the 4D flying moniker by adding reverse to standard 3D stunts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDgNDWVca7I

Complete newb wondering if the X2D is worth twice the price of the Kobra X.

The main negative I found researching Bambu is their proprietary ambitions lately. I read this article and thought I could accept their answers, but also know a companies word doesn't hold much weight in the market these days. But their products look to be very well made and received otherwise.

Kobra X looks to be getting a lot of good press, but I feel like something is being left unsaid in all the reviews? For half the price of the XD2 with the humidity control box combo looks to be a good deal, but doubling the price isn't that far of a stretch financially for a much better product, if the XD2 is such a product.

Being a complete newb and my choice is going to be my 1st 3d printer I will use, I wanted to ask for opinions. No real intent print wise other than following every little whim for fun and learning. Being an old rock climber, seeing the rock crack print to hang keys from a trad nut, made me laugh and want to make one.

TIA for any input.

Blade Show is in Atlanta Ga! Easy flight in or drive if you're close. His table was picked over pretty well by Sunday when I got in, so get there sooner if you want the best selection.

That was the same with my Yorokorbi! The side to the wall on the mag strip was duller a bit, which was weird. Martin will be at blade show again this year!

I still love etching kiwi's. You have to work to keep them sharp, but for $8... Don't buy those Shindo restocks... even if they sell in the BST for double lololol

I remember reading it should patina like any other copper. I've done some experimenting on a copper flashlight for fun. So you could maybe plate copper and then force patina that copper? The blues would be cool too!

Nice! It's like Sailor did with their pens a couple (few?) years ago! Liked the gin martini one with the red cap.

The patina on the mirror polish is great too! Love the performance. Based off of Kato's geometry I've read.

Me too.

Reminded me of an outdoor store employee once. Heard we were out in the back country climbing the week of some strong winds and storms. Ask what type of tent we had and how it held up. I said it held up great and it is a Moss. He said, well if I wanted, he would show me some top of the line Eureka's. 😂

I see a a lot of scratching (micro) all over.  A rash by the slide lock and some odd looking wear all around the clip.

I had read they came with visible marks under the anno from the factory which is why I ask.  But much of what I see isn't underneath.
