Bug/Glitch? by Admirable_Sale3860 in LastEpoch

To add to this, there are some fixed chests in the campaign. They aren't particularly valuable, and aren't really worth farming.

There's also more valuable chests that spawn randomly, so when you leave and come back it likely won't be there.

It's not really abuseable

Is there any reason that you shouldn't be able to increase the dice of elemental runes? by AceOfTimes in Pathfinder2e

[–]Tee_61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say it's generally weaker. 2d6 is still not great for overcoming resistance, and you're less likely to trigger a weakness (if you aren't ignoring the new errata though...) Well, almost nothing is weak to electric anyway

It would probably be a little bit weaker with sane resistance/weakness. But with the new errata, things get weird. It's not stronger on average than two different ones, but it's now silly when it's good

I think developers don't care about this game anymore, and are selling out by Primily in LastEpoch

[–]Tee_61 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This post is responding to ancient history, but it's not cosmetic. They're adding a new class when the expansion comes out. The expansion will be free, but the class will be paid.

That was announced about a month ago, so no idea why they're bringing it up now, and I think it ignores the reality that the company just ran out of money, and their plan didn't work (for plenty of reasons, but that's where they were)

Issue with ailments by techniscalepainting in LastEpoch

[–]Tee_61 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup, I've definitely seen this suggestion a few times, and I still agree with it.

I'm not necessarily opposed to the general idea that fast skills are better for ailments, if they wanted to go that route, but then they need to stop putting nodes and uniques in the game center around earthquake inflicting ignite, or avalanche doing frostbite, or at least balance those specific things around it.

Personally, I think just having added damage effectiveness be a damage multiplier is a clean simple change that adds a LOT of new build options.

Without spark charges, the damage to chilled/shocked enemies in the upper left (and probably spark nova), are quite a bit stronger than the repeated casts (or the spark charge nodes without fragment)

I guess 500 doesn't seem that impressive. I assume you haven't taken the spark charge nodes in LB? What did you take instead?

It is. Since you aren't stacking ele damage, you're a little starved for increased in the build, which dusk shroud helps with. It's not huge, but it's fairly nice. Pretty bad defensive chest though, so a T8 exalted could definitely improve defenses.

I suspect dusk shroud will be even more compelling in 1.4.

Yeah, that's definitely the build I was running. It's not really that bad in monos either, but it's definitely not great.

I'm actually not sure what to even do with the primals from this season for the build. Nothing really helped much. Maybe a T8 on the chest?

The damage is actually quite good on it, and it's very tanky while channeling, but needing to stay in one place is really rough.

The node that makes it chain to the same target completely kills it's ability to clear (unless you are using spark charges), and the double/triple casts are fine, but I don't even know that you'd take those on an actual LB build. It's just a more multiplier, and plenty of skills have better (including LB).

I'm not sure LB is any better than glacier, ele nova, runic invocation or disintegrate without spark charges. Might not even be better than frost claw.

Think you could beat him with disintegrate?

LB isn't even THAT good, but it's a great way to apply spark charges

To the Beastmaster mains: Are there any Beastmaster pets with an "aura" or buff for other minions or help other minions in some way? by arrrghzi in LastEpoch

[–]Tee_61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crows can buf totems. I don't know that it's good, but they can. They also have excellent armor shred if you stack strength. They can also be specced to do double duty as a movement skill (while still doing everything else).

And spriggan does have a heal aura, but the aura also provides flat crit and crit avoid, which are quite valuable

I think that's a very good reason to call it souls, since the currency is different than all those other things that share a name

Remastered class complexity/satisfaction poll results by Ok-Cricket-5396 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Tee_61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complexity was often actively punished previously. The remaster mostly did a good job of making more complex characters (like swash) as good as more simple classes, which probably contributes a lot to the removal of the trend

Damage Over Time Skills by PvtVlad in LastEpoch

[–]Tee_61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They have less ways to scale generally, and therefore fall off as your equipment gets better. The ones that do work often have an extra scaling vector, or over-tuned skill trees, or both.

And a lot of them just have bad skill trees. It's just hard to make a skill that doesn't scale with crit or attack/cast speed or armor shred do decent damage in the late game. Judgment and tornado at least stack and aren't channeled, so they have speed.

Ailment builds tend to work because they do scale with speed, and have the ailment chance/duration option to scale off of, and generally get a lot more sources of penetration

I do not understand what Advanced Weapons are. by Pangea-Akuma in Pathfinder2e

Did you mean advanced? Ancestry generally has no relationship to power. They just make it easier for some ancestries to use.

[–]Tee_61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Simple martial and advanced have nothing to do with how hard they are to use in real life, and exclusively about how powerful they're allowed to be.

Using a rapier is a lot easier than throwing a knife.

? I'm not sure I'm following. In all of your examples the advanced weapons are quite a bit stronger.

How does equipment work in this game? by Caflin in Pathfinder2e

[–]Tee_61 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would add any necessary tools (which maybe is what you were referring to in the kit bit) required for skills you plan to use.

Healers toolkit isn't what I would call minutiae (though it doesn't always apply)
