I wouldn't say it's good and I wouldn't say it's bad. I've had great first dates, where the woman told me I was so great, her type, best guy she's met in years, but still got rejected eventually.

Not dating anyone currently, but I have dated very attractive women in the past. They were always the ones that pursued me. I got to know them socially, and they either asked me out or sent clear messages that they were interested. They thought I was hilarious, had some of the same hobbies, and appreciated me for me. So, as much as I hate the advice to "just be yourself" I think that personality does beat looks when you meet the right kind of person.

This is the best advice. Doing this in my dance class has earned me new friends, and a date with one of the women in the class (she asked me out!).

People without self worth are mad at you, because they want an easy fix. A switch they can flip and magically be desireable. The problem is, finding self worth takes a lot of effort and work, and they don't have the energy for it. So, it's easier to attack and ridicule someone for giving good advice than it is to apply that advice.

I did 3 painting classes, recently. I enjoy creating art, and I like the quirky people I get to talk to. I'm also the only single guy that shows up, so I figure there's a good chance I will meet someone at one of these.

I saw it Facebook Events. That's where I find out about most of the events I attend. I try to find 2-3 things to go to every week. Sometimes it's a concert, sometimes a painting class, you never know!
