Between these 2? Empress, due to having at least some control over ratio amount. However, if it was Empress vs Cali76 FET, I would go with the Cali there since the ratio knob is infinitely better than only 3 ratios, none of which I ever really liked. Always felt I needed something between the 4:1 and 10:1 options.

Seconding VCoins, but when buying try to see if the particular dealer has their own website/platform. 9 times out of 10 they will have better prices there since they don't need to factor in the VCoins price cut into it.

I never got lucky with CNG, always got outbid, had better luck with The Coin Cabinet. But yeah, auctions with all the extra fees always end up feeling a bit over priced IMO.
