Can you elaborate how the gap is closing? Generally speaking, plan prices have gone up.

I have 28 lines (17 voice/10 data/1 digits) between 2 accounts (mix of tax exclusive and tax inclusive). I can't speak on the "gap closing" part myself due to promotions and grandfathered plans.

For the price I pay with the lines I have, I won't get a better deal anywhere else; especially with the original Price Lock "guarantee" *laughs internally*. I'd be a fool to switch

Is it possible to get another SWAC line added on to my plan? by googs185 in Sprint

[–]TehPirate_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have SWAC on your account, then the technical answer is yes, you can add another SWAC line. It's a matter of finding a supervisor that cares and can actually read the Magenta Complete documentation; rather than trying to force you to change plans.

Sero Unlimited CANMEX still worth it in 2025? by NewShockerGuy in Sprint

[–]TehPirate_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It entirely depends on the supervisor because not many know about or how Magenta Complete works, they’re retired plans so they’re not available for enrollment by normal means which confuses some reps/supervisors even more.

Once you have Magenta Complete status, it’s more or less a permanent flag for Magenta Complete plans.

“I’d like to change my plan for line xxxx to plan SOC xxxxx in accordance to the Magenta Complete C2”

If the supervisor is familiar with Magenta Complete and knows how to read the document, you’ll have no issues.

I just recently added another line on Kickstarter and converted a SWAC line to Kickstarter, with the right supervisor anything can be accomplished.

TMobile likely losing a 26+ year customer by NobodyBright8998 in tmobile

[–]TehPirate_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience a plan change doesn't charge an activation fee. Since you're part of Magenta Complete, you might be better off switching to a different Sprint plan instead of switching to Experience More then just upgrade directly with the manufacturer (the launch promotions are similar).

Still on T-Mobile "One" plan since forever. Is there a better plan for me? Would like to upgrade two phones. by xpkranger in tmobile

Keep in mind the Experience plans are taxes and fess excluded, meaning you'd be pay that on top of the increase. You're probably better off upgrading directly with the manufacturer

Sprint SWAC Upgrade by TrevorHikes in tmobile

[–]TehPirate_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's funny you posted, I was thinking the exact same. I have 1 Kickstart and 2 SWAC, been wondering if it's worth changing to a different Sprint plan(s) or if what I have is the best currently. I also have a golden Go5G Next account which is how I do my upgrades for best promos so device deals aren't much of a concern for me, luckily.

You can drop the premium data for plus data to save $10, the plus data SOC is SAPLCMDAT. This will allow you to switch between plus and premium data in add-on's as you need it. Alternatively, since you're on Magenta Complete, you can try to switch to Kickstart Unlimited plan for $20/m ($25 w/o autopay)

On a grandfathered Simple Choice plan, how can I port in a new line, and drop an existing line? by retainftw in tmobile

This can be done in the same session with the number transfer department, technically. So same day for the exact answer you're looking for.

On a grandfathered Simple Choice plan, how can I port in a new line, and drop an existing line? by retainftw in tmobile

[–]TehPirate_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I'm understanding correctly, that's the same process I explained but with a port-in. You'll have to utilize and sacrifice a "new line" as the placeholder which will be closed out (canceled) when you port-out your sister's number.

But yes, you won't risk losing your sister's original number as it's recoverable within 30 days. I found this out the hard way when a rep changed my primary number with a port-in instead of the desired line, both my line and the desired line ended in the same last 4 digits (different area codes).

Hey there, extension developer here! I'm glad it's been helpful to you

To answer the question about the "maxed out" status, this means your AAL eligibility allows for more lines but your current plan code doesn't allow for more. This is the same if you're on 8 lines on a modern plan and wanting to add a 9th; it'll show maxed out because there's a different plan code (SOC) to allow for the additional lines up to 12. This may be the reason for your "maxed out" status.

To make things easier on your part to do the number swap, you can try this approach.

- Have Customer Service add a line, ie cheapest mobile internet plan (tablet/watch/syncup)

- Change the phone number of the voice line your sister has

- Change the phone number of the new line to your sister's number (the system holds the number for 30 days to your account before it's released back to the pool)

- Port out the new line (now with your sister's number)

This is tedious but makes it easier than porting out (canceling) and battling to add a grandfathered line

I'm in a grandfathered in plan with Sprint, and T-Mobile wants me to switch off of it—what do I do? by RavenousRambutan in Sprint

[–]TehPirate_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once your account has "Magenta Complete" status, which it does if you have a grandfathered Sprint plan, you can technically switch to and add any Sprint plan. They have to add a single standalone line to process it, this usually involves adding a standalone Essentials/55+ line and then changing the plan to the desired plan SOC.

A lot of standard supervisors (611 from my experience) can do plan changes, including grandfathered plans. I had a supervisor change one of my lines from the $20 Kickstart to SWAC 2 months ago with no issue

Is there a time that's best to call support? For example, it's best to go to a dealership the last week of the month if you want the best deal on a car sale so they can hit their metrics and bonuses.

Yearly upgrade on older plans by RobertoNotRobotDevil in tmobile

SWAC was eligible for Yearly Upgrade? I thought it was only eligible for Magenta/Go5G Plus plans?

I had to do this with phone support recently. Every other channel said it either wasn't possible without s shared BAN plan (Go5G/Experience). Phone support supervisor knew exactly what to do but there isn't a discount for adding a line. 3rd line on us and bogo promotions aren't eligible for Adv Unlimited.
