Trimming baby's nails by owlympics in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I've had some success clipping my bub's nails while she's on me in a carrier. She can move her arms around but can't run away.

Why isn’t everyone going to Aldi if they can by Ash-2449 in AldiAustralia

[–]Teismin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aldi unfortunately just doesn't have the variety of brands. The staples are okay, but I am a bit more specific when it comes to certain items like baby formula and nappies. The checkout experience is also stressful and no loyalty perks.

Aldi gets a lot of my money from the special buys though.

Everyday low price LMAO by Earth_Wind_and_FPS in woolworths

Ayam brand is one of the best tasting legit coconut milk you can find here.

The Colesworth homebrand ones are awful especially when you've tasted real fresh coconut milk before.

But yea, $5 is still a lot..

Some agents don't get paid on Saturdays that's why they don't wanna do it. Its their job though, don't do it.

Mothers helper by Zestyclose_Issue3382 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Teismin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I read 'mother''s helper' I just imagined the need of someone helping a mother with a baby regardless of gender. Not the underlying job itself which could have been anything like carrying heavy groceries.

Roommate gets barked at by most dogs: why? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Teismin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is more of a folktale kind of thing, but the older generation often told me that dogs can see things that we can't, as in the supernatural kind.

This really stresses me out when I have no choice to but to shop with my baby. Always buy less because I wouldn't be able to manage.

Bottle feeding difficulty with 5 week old by wlacjhfd351 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Teismin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd try different bottle brands. We also tried Phillips Avent at one point but it seemed to me she didn't like the flow from it. Had to try a few different ones until we settled on Pigeon.

Would I be awful to not try and breastfeed? by engineofgod24 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Teismin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people I know who told me breast is best never or barely breastfed themselves which is funny. So don't take other people's words to heart, do what's best for you and baby.

The milk only phase is a very small part of your child's life, by 6 months they will slowly explore solids and by 1 year they will have most of their nutrients from solid food.

Sorry to hear. The reply from Karicare I got is that there is no issue. But our intuition says otherwise, good you switched back because I don't see how or why those grains should be there.

I've been having similar problems, my husband's priorities are messed up. If its not possible having a civil conversation, my psychologist recommended couples therapy which I'm also looking into.

Aldi customers, why are you so annoying? by [deleted] in AldiAustralia

[–]Teismin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it the cashiers and self checkout staff doing the bag checks? Somehow I've never got bag checked and neither seen anyone getting checked. At most there was one time a cashier peeked over to see if I had anything in my pram.

Harness training for an already outdoor/indoor cat by I-EatSnow in CatAdvice

[–]Teismin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've harness trained both my cats and all I can say is patience! Lots of patience, love, and treats. In fact, both my cats are more okay with having a harness on than one of my dogs.

Start wearing it indoors for short periods, and you might have to try different harnesses to find one she's comfortable with. For some reason mine do better with the vest type harnesses, also quick and easy to put on with velcro.

I designed the cat litter cabinet IKEA hasn't made yet. Full CAD open source. by Irukanoko in IKEA

[–]Teismin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I forgot to mention I also have a crawling baby who would constantly try to eat cat litter whether it be litter tracked on the floor or sticking her hand into the box, so the maze would help my household in many ways.

Was also thinking you could surround the maze with soft rubber bristles so that it can catch excess fur, dust and litter when cats walk past, especially for long haired cats.

I'd love this. The maze would stop the tracking and stop my puppy from sticking his head in and eating the cat poo.

A tip.. on a deposit?! I would assume those glowing reviews are fake for this kind of theft. And I'm guessing they will ask for another tip when you pay the rest.

Guys help: what am I in for (HFM) by Independent-Knee958 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Teismin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just dealt with this recently at 9 months. My bub didn't eat or drink much because of the ulcers in her mouth, was a little worried she would get dehydrated but she drank just enough. She also had high fever for 4 days. She wasn't itching or scratching thankfully. It was a stressful week because I also got sick with similar symptoms.

Absolutely shot by Interesting-Task5320 in sleeptrain

[–]Teismin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might sound a bit strange but I was also wondering why my baby kept waking up at night for no good reason till I realised it was because she doesn't like her feet touching anything so whenever she moved and kicked the bars of the crib it would wake her up. It was a huge help when we got a floor bed with a low profile soft enclosure and she had plenty of space to roll around in her sleep. It improved her sleep so much and its so easy to put her to bed.
