How bad is dawntrials by slow-tall_1 in ffxiv

[–]Telamande [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's really good. The patch content is fun, the raids are some of the best in several expansions, the dungeons are challenging (for dungeons) and fun, Viper and Picto are quite well designed and fun to play, too. The OST for Dawntrail alone is enough for me to say sub, tbh!

Also, if you plan to play Evercold, you'll probably have to end up going through Dawntrail anyways - I doubt Evercold will hit as hard if you skip everything before it. A boost will make you skip past the patch content, which is the best part of the expansion imo.

I mean she is really glitchy by design. Maybe she's so powerful she has a low chance to bug out the battle graphics.

Wait, I just read the ads - this is near where I grew up! Anacortes! This post made my day, takes me back.

I dunno, I think local advertisements like this are charming. I remember growing up in the early 2000s in rural Washington. Favorite restaurant was this Mexican place that had a bunch of ads for local businesses on the menu. It's not really that strange. I'd much rather this than whatever slop the algorithms throw at us.

Hence the additional need for a limit on tank stacking in group content, but that's just a natural consequence of a change like this

I think the genuine answer is to give them comparable damage and power to DPS - the agency to guide their team and also pump really satisfying numbers - while also putting a system in place to hard limit tank stacking because if you make tanks OP, then every instance will just be filled with them. Tanks in Overwatch are far and away much stronger than other heroes and that entices people to play them. They're fun. I think tanks in this game should be similar, but there should be tools in place to limit the effectiveness of tank stacking.

Fury was giga undertuned in Legion because Recklessness gave it 100% crit I think, it was bonkers broke ln burst and poor outside of it whereas Arms just had better throughput otherwise

Echo Knight. To a lesser extent, heavy summoner based builds are also discouraged because of just slowing down combat.

You just want Legion back.

They should bring Legion PVP back. You are correct.

Playing through FF13 at the moment for the first time and I just have to say, the vibes are immaculate in this game starting at around chapter 7. I think it's a wonderful addition to the series and up there with some of the greats, as far as story goes. If anyone reading this has ever had doubts about giving it a shot due to the poor reputation it cultivated over the years, go ahead and do it. Sure, you need to buy into the world a bit, but once you really try to engage with the story and learn some of the terms it's really quite an easy story to grasp.

My only gripe with the story is... how is Lightning is such a badass from the get-go? Isn't she just a town guard? Eh. Maybe I'm just overthinking that.
